It's King Gori from Grendizer, pretty nuch the only enemy Grendizer faced that was any real threat to him.

I love it! He looks really nice!
But please have the packaging cover artist to see if the proportion is "ideal screen correct".... he should also have a say in coloration too. Because That guy has a great eye.
I'm so happy that HLPros continuing its fine tradition of making bad guys, which Bandai lacks balls to. And I really hope HLPro can keep the PVC to just hands...and no styro coffin please.

I'm only slightly interested because it's a Grendizer related project otherwise I would have zero interest in a HLPRO product.

Wait is that a painted one in the background? The sculpt is lightly different though.

That looks like the High Dream vinyl version that came out 10+ years ago.

Yeah, that looks to be a different toy.
Looking at screen shots of other Gori toys and the anime screen shots, the head on this seems tad small? I now could see Metaltech proportion coming through...

seems the articulation wil be even more limited because of the sculpt which it can't be help, i wonder how he scales with Grendizer because if i recall King Gori is bigger than Grendizer. It would absolutely look terrible if King Gori is smaller than Grendizer.

Maybe it can have more cut joints on him. They been good about scaling tho no?

Eh , I don't know what to think! It doesn't look good proportion wise , the head is ok I guess, but it will sell just because it is grendizer related!

I am so glad they made this one public.. now I don't have to bite my tongue. I really cant believe they showed it. They been working on it for a while now. I love it. I also like how it is slightly "modernized" because the true anime version of this character would not make a good diecast figure I think.. But this one is going to be a great addition to Metaltech.
I don't know how tall he is but I would think that he is about the same as the top of Gin Gin's horn and Gattiger, but when you have such a massive chest and long arms, he is going to look massive next to MT01 I think..

looks like they measured by the top of the horn.. look how massive he is though.
That old Gori vinyl is hard to find, it got canned by the critics at the time of the release but try to find one for sale... I think I saw one come up for 200-300 a few years back.(I cant remember exactly but it was high) If you got one of those you are lucky.

posting photos is a nightmare here..I still cant figure out how to add a photo from my computer. Anyway, I got several screen shots from the episode with King Gori and his scale to grendizer is across the board. In some shots he is about the same height but a lot broader (almost a square) in other shots he is about twice the size as grendizer.. its another case of "he is as big as he has to be" or "he is as big as we want him to be" in each shot.
