Is that another Gunbuster recolor in the pic behind the modern Tetsujin 28? Also what Big O is that? Might we finally someday see the long rumored SRC? Those are SRC pictures from an event a while back. No sign of the others yet.

Hey Faelon. They are all older SRC prototypes that were shown while ago i believe. As such, im thinking that is not another recolor Gunbuster. Thats also a SRC proto type of Big O that was shown in past. GiantRobo is releasing so i hope Big O will get the same consideration.

What I wondered about is the smooth legs with red stripes behind Tetsujin 28. They look like Gunbuster legs and feet. Just wrong or rather right colors?

That's the normal GB SRC Packaging, it looks like the color balance of the photo is off, probably due to the metallic blue of T28

Good motion on him, and a ton of detail. It also looks like the Maz effects parts will work. I'm still unsure if I will get him. I tend to only get one version of a character and I have the Yamato. If I can find this guy on discount probably. But at MSRP I'm still not feeling it.

Here is my review of Giant Robo. He is pricey considering what you get, but I still enjoy this figure.

Just got mine too Heres a quick run down Pros Heavy or dense as all hell...i dont get it as diecast on him is minimal..exterial ones anyway. Only pvc junk plastic is relegated to hands, rest are Expensive and indestructable quality ABS. Even the skirt is ABS! Diecast contents are the red outer rings on arms and legs....hip joints, shoulder cannon mount attatchment accessory and the rocket booster thrusters. There must be more in the inside as this robot is way too heavy tobe mostly plastic His butter smooth shoulder joints are completely hidden with Bandais new toy engineering. Super impressed. Cons No tummy missiles, no pilot.... One of the tiny hip cannons fell out rather casually. Be Mindful not to loose it. He looks to be mostly molded plastic.....very little paint apps not unlike SRC Gun Buster. He needs more metal on the outside. come on this isnt the High Metal R ...its a chogokin damn it. Conclusion He is awesome. Go get him. I have both versions of Yamatos and aside from metal count, this guy is VASTLY superior.

So the lower legs and feet aren't diecast? That's surprising! You would think they would just use a design along the lines of Dai Guard?

Yeah, i really wish they were diecast.
They are nice thick ABS, but not cheap junky and thin ABS like Evolution Toys. Its a top quality Plastic.

That's kind of where I am torn. I have a fairly complete SRC collection. Baring wild repaints and really obscure stuff. So the completist in me says yeah I will end up getting it. But I already have the Yamato version (which I found recently at an old toy stores going out of business sale under an inch of dust for $20) And to make it worse, its really not a robot or robot design that I like. Anime Giant Robo always struck me as a very 90's example of steroid induced overdesign. I just don't like it much. So this one isn't really pushing my buttons. Normally I don't mind paying MSRP just to send the right message to the manufacturer. "Tes, I want more like this please!" I will surely be doing that with Godannar. But this guy? Meh!

That Yamato GR.. im glad was able to snatch one.. even though years late when first released. very worth it for the super cheap price. Big chunk of diecast goodness that can kill hehehe.. If sum1 doesnt own a Yamato.. this is a no brainer.. get one. Coz it isnt a transformeable character.. so SRC is best fit for him. Moreso if SRC pushes thru with SRC Big-O.. this two will definitely look good together. i already own the bigger versions.. its not a must have... but its just me. Ofcourse out there..there are bigger chogokin fans than me hehe..
