Does miracle productions vehicle voltron counted as chogokin? If it does, then it sucked, or maybe its just mine only. Mine looses its ability to hold a simple pose and stand on its own quickly. Disappointing! i have this. its not bad at all. i recall there were about 3 revisions and i have the latest i think, so maybe you got an earlier one? i can tell its 3rd party. yes. its not bandai quality or craftsmanship. but then again there are some bandai soc that this is far better than (daiohja im looking at you). i really like it. and i paid about 175 shipped, for that massive piece of metal. i cant really complain about it. ive seen some recent offers lowest @ around 120usd.. with that price of hefty big diecast.. not bad if u ask me...i wouldnt complain anymore hehehe..

Reviving this 2 year old thread because I just got a huge letdown~
Fewture EX Gokin Tachikoma from GITS SAC. It's got good size, 15.5cm at the highest part, and is heavy with diecast at 679g. Problem is, the leg joint, though ratcheted, is not strong enough to keep the body from sinking. And while the blue plaint is nice and glossy, the silver bits that are painted, like the joints of the small forearms are done very sloppy, like they didn't even finish the painting and can see the grey plastic. The redeeming factor is it looks pretty good standing with figma SAC Motoko Kusanagi. I have to put a non-slip fabric underneath to keep it from going flat.
Some older stuff- - My first Revoltech was a Patlabor Ingram. It just felt like a kid's toy. So I sold it. Tried again later with Gurren Lagann and, sigh, should have learned my lesson. It's inexpensive though, expectations shouldn't be too high. - Master Made SDF-1 Makuros. After owning the other more recent MM figures like the Omega Supreme and Trypticon, which were excellent and gokin level quality, I went for the SDF-1 because I love Macross. Out of the box, I was disappointed by the weight, and the finish quality was not the same. All plastic, the 2 little VF-1 were super fragile. I still have it because of the franchise but I wouldn't pay more than $50 for this. - Bandai SD Infinity Eureka Seven: Nirvash type ZERO. With all the hype and crazy aftermarket prices for the VF-25F, I decided to grab this. Hmm, cannot stand on it's own due to the massive backpack, and the included stand only works with the "surfboard" so you can only pose it on top. Forget a simple standing pose. Aside from the transformation, it's not very playable. My wife thinks it's cute though. - Finally, those of you who own some Yamato 1/60 V2 VF-1's, every time you find another cracked shoulder hinge... This is an old problem but still very disappointing every time it happens.

Out of the ones I own I'd say that my least favorite is the SRC great mazinger. I mean, it's not a bad figure by any means, but it's too tiny, barely any bigger than the mazinger z. The proportions are horrible. The head and arms are way too small. Finally, the brain condor falls way too easily. I just want Bandai to release one that's just a bit larger and has fixed proportions

For letdowns, I have to say that EX Fewture Gokin Getter 2 Repaint Ver. did let me down a fair bit. I mean, I did like it, it was a great design and had a great heft - I didn't mind the paint chipping or so on because it was really big, so any paint chips would have been 'weathering' for me and would only add personality to the figure. However what I really couldn't believe was how the arm joint couldn't lift the big vinyl drill when you put it on. I think my copy even had trouble with the small drill, at that.
I'm looking to get Getter 3 instead, though. Is that one alright as far as the Getter trio is concerned?

I remember that feeling too when I first held it next to SRC Mazinger Z and thought the head was so small.

Speaking of a horrible proportion, How about SRC Mazinkaiser?
That thing is a dog...just an awful awful looking figure with two giant hip balls joint exposed for all the world to see.

worst SOC GX-13 R Dancouga worst SRC it gotta be Jeeg guys lol Most ppl think Goldymarg is the worst SOC. The Eva SOC are not great either. Dancouga is not the best figure of the character but it's not terrible, just not up to modern standards. Hardly close to being worst SOC, IMO. If someone offered me a free SOC Dancouga or Goldymarg, I'll take Dancouga any day!

Couple SOCs that need redemption is Jeeg and Eva...
I am sure they are hard subjects but come on, you're Bandai! You can't give up!

It's stylized, like all SRCs, but it doesn't look bad either. I actually prefer the more slender proportions over the overly beefy design from the games and ova

I know I'm gonna be bashed over this but I like my SOC Eva they were great when I bought them and still love them. Also recently I had experience my first revoltech, the Eva evolution Mark .06, I though I could fill the void of movie evas with those (they almost scale with soc ones and they were being re edited). I was wrong. I photos it looked awesome for 35us but in hand I couldn't pass it. Paint was messy, articulation was good but it looked as it was going to break. The paint got in my fingers. I cancelled all the other ones I had on PO and still trying to sell it (here in Argentina it's very hard to sell those stuff) But my most disappointing figure must be legacy megazord, I bought it after owning thunder megazord, dragonzord and tigerzord. Being the first one in the line there was a lot of difference in the quality of the product (and metal seems forced into it and not helping the figure in any way. That was because it was a re release of 2010 megazord with metal). You couldn't even combine it with dragonzord because its knees would bend and half body would fall due to the weight of the dragonzord. I kept it until I got my soc megazord and month later I finally was able to sell it

This is fun! Mazinkaiser SKL SRC. First disappointment was the fact that Bandai decided not to include that tiny plastic nub that allows you to attach the sword to his back on this particular release. Why? Then I start posing it and the face pops off and barely stays on now. Lol
I recently ordered the Gunbuster SRC FX kit w the cape. Took the cape out and attached it to the figure. Gunbuster buckled at every possible joint. Lol The cape is way too heavy to use w my Gunbuster. I spent 20 mins trying to get him to stand w this massive plastic thing attached to his back and finallly gave up and returned it.
MEGAZORD SOC.......what went wrong? Lol
Toynami 30th die cast. Love the stand.....the rest is garbage. I keep it because it looks decent in one pose and it’s a die cast voltron.

Worst SRC is the 90’s version God Reideen, which if you’ve never held, it’s beyond words how awful it is in how many ways. Most disappointing is Jeeg, as it really should have been better. God Reideen has all of Jeeg negatives and none of its positives.
Worst SOC is Kotetsujin Jeeg, who’s weak magnetic joints cannot hold the figure together let alone support it to stand. A SOC Jeeg on display is just a pile of unattached limbs.
