I got the other one. I think that one comes out next year. Is there a separate thread for that one or are they both on this thread?

My Tetsujin 28 arrived today from Amiami. Off the bat, it feels cheap and nowhere close to SOC quality. The diecast metal parts are ok, but doesn't have the same glossy finish as SOC parts. Even though they are still glossy. But the endoskeleton feels super cheap. And the limbs do not feel strong. The figure feels super hallow and empty. The removable panel gimmick i was expecting to feel like DX-01 Mazinger. But this figure is nowhere as solid as DX-01. It feels super lightweight and cheap. I got home late tonight from work, and was able to take a few unboxing pics. GX-44 is still the definitive Tetsujin 28 Go figure in my opinion. Unless the upcoming King Arts one is better. Or if someday we get a DX Tetsujin from Bandai. I tried to move the legs/hips, but they are so tight that I'm afraid it will break. The ball joint is not giving any freedom of movement without that warning "squeek" where you are on the verge of cracking something. So I didn't try further to force it. There are ratcheting joints for an A-stance, but I feel the ratchet spacing is too wide that you can't get a minimal A-stance and have to get a super wide unrealistic stand to settle for. These are my first initial impressions. I'm tired. I'm hungry. So maybe my judgement might be a little impaired. But I think no matter how I feel, it still will always feel cheaply made. That's a constant for sure. It does look nice on display but when you handle it, you can definitely feel that it is nowhere close to SOC quality. I'll probably polish the outer shell to make the surface flawless. Thanks for the feedback. Darn shame. As if ET no longer wants to be in this business. Keep hearing about disappointments with their recent releases, the VF-2SS, the Mospeada Alphas, and now this. Will hurt their reputation for sure.

thank you for your feedback about the figure
i was half and half about this figure, but after reading your review it will be a pass for me, i will go with the Heavy Metal version, about the same price but you get more with the HM version
and i agree with you the GX-44 is the ultimate T28, until we get the HM version because i really think it will be a tight battle between the two

Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that so far it isn't a good product. I hope the Action Toys one that I preordered is better than this one.

Thanks for the initial feedback! It's a shame, I guess ET really is limited as a company to produce high quality stuff.
Comparison pictures with any figures would be awesome!
I was ready to trash the ET Legioss the first time I handled it, especially the fighter mode. But then after spending a little more time to get more familiar with it I started to like it a lot more. I hope the case is same with you and Tetsujin 28. I guess for anyone else buying this, don't expect SOC DX quality, expect the same ET quality, and try to just focus on and admire the sculpt like we do with the rest of the ET stuff.
Despite all this, this figure seems to be sold out everywhere except amazon Japan, which is selling for above MSRP and only has 2 left. My guess is ET produced very limited quantity of this figure.

Thank you MrClean.
This is why i always advocate wait till the review on ALL and ANY ET figures.... I own more then i like to admit, but now days, even with crazy sale i rather Save that $80 towards Sentinel or Blitz5Pro. Companies that produce products thats worth its asking price....

Thanks shintitan for the link to review. I've been looking for one with no luck. It seems the review was mostly positive with some minor issues, but nothing major. Perhaps the quality isn't DX SOC level but QC seems ok overall. Now I'm excited!

Evolution Toy made a cheap Gokin, shocking. I’m not playing Charlie Brown to their Lucy again. No thanks ET.

Thanks for swerve's world video. Like articulated fingers. But the plastic body with flimsy metal panels will require a roll of tape to keep it shut. Also the remote control should include more lights & sound. It only controls the eyes, a switch on the back would suffice

I watched about 20 minutes of the video and it looks pretty sweet. I'm impressed with the job ET has done.

Lol. When I saw a video posted, I skipped right past mrclean's well qualified and reliable first impressions. At any rate, I've got the Heavy Metal T28 on the way. Action Toys has been hitting it out of the park, so it should look nice with HM ZERO.
Also, I've been considering ET's upcoming Albegas - now it's looking like I'll pass, and hope and pray for an SoC to scale with my GX-71, KOB & Masterpiece.
