Does anyone have their version of Laserion? Is it as bad as I hear? Really would love to get a modern version.

Not sure if anyone saw this but there was a large prototype combiner of Albegas shown at the Wonder Festival 2018 this time without the magnetic ball joints. Not sure if this is going to be the next DX Metal Action after Tetsujin 28 or not, time will tell. LinkMissed this thread when it came out. Not sure why Evolution Toys didn't seem to spend much effort in engineering to shift some mass on the figures so the combined form has nicer proportion, like some arm and feet extension, gimmicks to bulk up and shrink down the torso blocks and limbs. I love the gimmick and design of Albegas. But ET didn't quite overcome the blocky look, and its already their 2nd try. Hope there is more improvement in the reveal in a week or so. I went with the EM Gokin, but still interested in this if they do it right.

Arbegas is not a very anatomic robot. Is pretty blocky itself. The action toys is a very nice redesign but I think this one is more accurate.

ahh come on man, im not going to look for photos online, just look at your personal photo
with some anime magic Albegas proportions become more like its a one robot not a combiner
but i believe the modern tech could make that magic happen in real life

I know but arbegas is one of those show that proportions vary a lot from one scene to another (I've watch it many times...sometimes it seems blocky and sometimes very sleek). However I found this one closer to the source than the action toys one. That being said I dig what they've done with that one. Regretfully arbegas don't get too much love from companies (I'd love to see a metamorforce one or a soc). Let's hope we get a perfect one soon...

yea thats why i say we go with official photos or the show intro since they drew it with extra care
but i guess at the end we like different things my friend
lately albegas is picking up alot of attention there is a vinyl figure by Icarus
there is the EM gokin version and this guy
so i hope other companies will do a take on him as well (EX Gokin line and SOC line)

It's not looking good. The back looks messy and I'm afraid of those transformation pegs. It's just an early prototype so I'll wait and see how the painted version and the individual robots turn out. Also It will be pretty expensive...

its so damn expensive, if you look at the last photo bottom right corner the price is about $363 and the release date is on November of the this year
thats mean this is very close to the final production figure

I wonder if there will be any metal in this one. It's only a bit cheaper than tetsujin and it's smaller. I like the size (seems about 25-27cm, tetsujin next to it it is about 32cm). I want to see the final product but I'm afraid that by that moment it will be sold out and selling at high second market prices.

But a combining Albegas is something that is sadly a bit lacking.

I'm finding myself more interested in this. The sculpt is similar to the Dynamite Action! figure - but thicker. It looks powerful, and reminds me of the chunky vintage gokin.
At first, the tabs on the robot's sides were bothersome. In head on pics, it looks like a partsforming gimmick without magnets. Upon closer inspection, hinges that fold the arms back are visible. This mechanism is SIMILAR to that of the VINTAGE POPY. And, that's one of the slickest and most unique combinations of any robot I've got - but I never perform it because of that darn blue plastic. A functional, transforming Albegas is something I've hoped for for years.

Looks like it might be around the ballpark figure of 8.5" inches tall.
