my point is this is a new line that should be separated from the SOC, but by the end of the day i wont care much about names either, all i care about is the figures and actually some SRCs are in the SOCs level, specially Grendizer and SKL V2
as for the resale value i dont think it will effect it much, since its a different flavor of these robots, and most will want something that combine

At this price, I hope it's top notch quality and has lots of diecast.

If 15100 yen, that’s estimate of $140 . Not bad but it better be die cast. Like good amount.
I’ll still buy it

Come on, seriously? Or would you say the Grendizer and Mazinkaiser SKL Super Robot Chogokins are miles better than the Vanilla Mazinkaiser SRC? I own both the Grendizer and Mazinkaiser SKL SRCs. They're great, but there's no way you could pass these two as Soul of Chogokins.

Thought it was gonna be in SRC or a similar subline like SRC. Didn't expect this to be in the SOC main line, but I guess the development and engineering and maybe size justifies it.

Mazin emperor g is as large and heavy as some SoCs. Given that he's in a line that is supposed to be around 60% smaller than SoC I'd that counts for an SoC tier figure

You insinuate that I did not understand your message, but did you even read mine at all?
I know you haven't mentioned the regular Mazinkaiser. I couldn't find a picture of the Mazinkaiser SKL V2 SRC next to the Mazinkaiser SOC. So I posted one of the SKL SRC next to the Mazinkaiser SRC, and another of the Mazinkaiser SRC next to the SOC version. Then, I asked you "would you say the Grendizer and Mazinkaiser SKL Super Robot Chogokins are miles better than the Vanilla Mazinkaiser SRC?"
Because, IMO, the Mazinkaiser SKL V2 SRC is pretty much the Mazinkaiser SRC with a cape : take Kaiser, add a few spikes, change the accessories, put a cape on it and voilà! Mazinkaiser SKL. They are extremely similar in height, weight, quality and complexity. So if you admit this, that these two SRCs are similar, then you can look at that pic of the Mazinkaiser SRC next to its SOC counterpart and tell that there's no way they're in the same league.
But if you think the GX-04 is still a good figure today, we see things REALLY differently. I had the GX-04S set and I sold it. I thought it looked and felt way too outdated even back then, years ago.

Man, was hoping it wouldn't be this pricey. Thanks for the news, Treatment! Gold LOL this just reminded me that the first SoC Voltes V combiner (GX-31) was around this price in 2006!

Yeah, really sad what's happening to this hobby now. Bandai used to be decent with their pricing, now it's just plain pathetic.

Ive read your post and i found it weird that you included Mazinkaiser, the SRC Mazinkaiser is not a fine example of how good some SRCs are i know SKL share some very few similarity with him but the are totally different, and the SKL V2 figure is way better than the regular SRC Mazinkaiser in my opinion i cant include Grendizer in a compression with the Mazinkaisers, but if we compare it to the GX-04, the SRC is better in my opinion, for the SRC Mazinkaiser the SOC is light years better even with the chest qc, but SKL V2 is very close to it, its just smaller the GX-04 is a classic man, even if it became outdated by today standers i will never sell mine lol, so far its the only Grendizer that have all of the Spazers, and it have some cool details inside his Spazer its also one of the best Grendizers ever made but i guess we like different things

I think $120 including shipping would have been a real sweet spot for me.... Sculptural Detail or paint detail(?) or something on this robot is just really lacking for a 7inch SOC. That SOC magic "it" factor is visibly missing. Its no wonder we confused it for a SRC. BUT! Considering ALLplastic 6inch Mafex figure is commanding $95(!?!?!) at BBTS, so i guess $150 USD MSRP before shipping for a highly posable 7inch diecast figure is not THAT crazy these days. www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/71594

i agree with faelon this shouldn't be in the SOC line, its like if they included the SRC line to the SOC line but again Bandai did included battle ships into the SOC line before the price of 15121 Yen and it could be even cheaper with the preorder discount is good, not great because i was hoping it will be around a $100 and why the started with Voltes, i was hoping for Daimos This version looks good, but as I remember, I bought the 1st iteration of SOC Voltes for just around 100 USD. I missed the opportunity to buy the SOC Volt in Box. I think that one has the best 'toy look' from the rest of SOC Voltes releases. Hoping for a good DX version. Cheers!
