My issue since GX-31 which carries to this one is that I feel Voltes V's head is too helmet-y.
Too much helmet, not enough "face" IMHO.

I really cannot decide on this. Should he be taller than Maz?

I really cannot decide on this. Should he be taller than Maz? Does it matter? This is a completely new "take" on a gattai-ing toy by Bandai on the SOC line that well, does not combine at all and so, pretty much scale is probably a non-factor. You could make a more legit case with GX-31 but with this one, I dunno if it's a factor?

I dig the Obari of this

I really cannot decide on this. Should he be taller than Maz? If we're talking real world scale, Voltes V is 58 meters and Mazinger Z is 18 meters so there is no way to do this in a single toy line. SOC is all over the place when it comes to scale so it doesn't matter. If they ever make a DX SOC of Voltes, the SRC Mazinger would be close to the right size next to it.

That was what I was trying to recall. Appreciate the information

I wish we knew how the toy designers at Bandai decide on the SOC scaling, because it really is all over the place. Baikanfu, one of the smallest robots at 6 meters, gets a 25cm toy. Meanwhile, the 200 meter tall Danguard gets a 18cm toy. I mean, there was no reason to make Danguard so small.
It looks like all the toys from SOC FA will be similar or close in size.

I know its 2nd of April in japan..but what time?

Seems like decent amount of accessories This will be the deciding factor for me, if this figure can do the actual "Voltes Bazooka" pose. I know this pose looks super cool, but It's just so wrong to me

I think whomever took the pics either 1)doesn't know the character, or 2)was told to put it in the most extreme poses possible to showcase articulation.

There better be lots of metal since it is promoted as an SOC. But most likely not since there is no mention of it
