I sometimes wish we got an SOC Black Getter with GX-52 as it's base. Add it's Daikessen Variant in toy form as well.

It was freeloading in the Carbotix Getter 1 thread. Just a few pics.
That thing was shown 5 years ago, already...
I don't think they've ever announced an official release date, but still, that's a long wait.

Full detail and high res images. blitzway.com/hervin_portfolio/black-getter/Also found this to show the size. While I don't own the original Getter 1 (the tall one in dead center), it looks like it is pretty much the same height as Fewture EX Gokin, as well as the CCSToys gang. Pretty big for US$225, especially now with added diecast. Quite enticing.

"To capture the imposing presence of the Black Getter from “Getter Robo Armageddon(1998)”, Blitzway used a non-glossy black color for the entire surface, enhancing its appearance."
That is nice. Really nice.
With that one and Sentinel's, I may have to get rid of my "bloody version" matte-finish Aoshima. How much is it worth, now? Ten bucks?

Better view of the new added diecast (in green). Honestly, this one appeals to me quite a bit. Carbotix Getter 1 was a very good release from what I've heard. Very nice paint and lots of clickies, and probably one of the most screen accurate rendition of the Armageddon Getter 1 out there. But due to size and price, I felt like I didn't need another Getter 1 in my collection at the time that is a bit oversized. But a few years later, and now we have the CCSToys in the picture. This bigger scale found some new company that we didn't have back then (unless you got the Fewtures). And not only did they improved on the figure and added more diecast, the price also didn't inflate but actually went down with the low yen value. With US$225 (and possibly cheaper when more Japanese shop has PO up), this may be a really good buy for anyone that still have room for a Black Getter (a super screen accurate one no less). What I am very curious is the size of the upcoming Sky X Studio Getter 1 that just got announced. Whether it will be even bigger like their Mazinkaiser, or will it be downscaled a bit and be a direct competitor of this Carbotix Black Getter. Then it would be a straight competition between Black (anime accurate) vs. Red (same look, but with heavily modernized paneling). Curious what you guys prefer, say if they are similar in size and price.

Conjecturally speaking, I’m thinking the beautiful SKY-X Getter 1 COULD be at @ $299 IF he is at 30 cm.
My beautiful 5Pro Getter 1 is 23cm (Pretty sure I paid AROUND $300 total from BBTS)
I’ll prob get both SKY X Getter1 and 5Pro Black Getter.

I am leaning towards Carbotix Black Getter (size, look, released Getter 1 assures quality). Not everything on the Sky X Studio Getter 1 I like, but I may consider it too if it is the right size and turns out to be very good.

for me i honestly start to like it (i have a weak spot for black getter) i only have two the EX Gokin and the SRC
this figure does looks good and i think it will looks better in person, the only issue is for the price it doesnt comes with much, 10 interchangeable hands, 2 Getter Tomahawks, cape, scarf and Getter Wing, i kinda wanted some effect parts + the guns
yet im really glad that 5pro are reconsidering their prices i will wait for reviews then i will decide
as for the king arts opps i mean Sky X Getter 1 its really cool the gimmick with the guns are crazy good but its not my cup of tea to be honest
so i found my self leaning toward the 5pro more

I like this, you sometimes forget just how good the classic designs are. Nowadays SR designs look like a drawer full of knives with sharp edges, vents, angles, and facets everywhere.

Having a Getter day today, started the morning fixing loose joints on Fewture Dragon & Liger with Liquitex Permanent Matte Varnish. Will be opening up my Fewture Poseidon very soon from his 10 year coma, while grabbing a few of my older Getters from the back end of the shelf and dust them off a bit. Since we were talking about Black Getter, I got my Aoshima Black Getter out, and to my surprise, the PVC cape didn't get sticky or melting after all these years (close to 2 decades!). Was expecting to put in some elbow grease to save it, and end up it doesn't even need any saving! And the figure still looks pretty good. The joints are very primitive, so they don't have the sturdiness we are very used to these days, but it still a pretty nice figure to look at, and the coldness all the diecast gives when held in hand. Glad I kept it, and the only OVA Black Getter gokin I have currently. Carbotix Black Getter seems like a very good fit for me (upgrading from the Aoshima, while hang out with my CCSToys and Fewture boys). And since it is not a high demand item, I can wait a little bit and see if any better deals pop up. Looks like if you buy directly from the Blitzway webstore, shipping is a flat US$23 (but not sure if they charge tax). While I agree it doesn't come with much accessories, I do feel that the price is still on the cheap side. US$225 can't really buy a lot of gokin these days. And this Black Getter happens to be pretty big, got a bunch of ratchets, has LEDs and all. I just hope the articulation is enough, as 5PRO purposely avoid doing cuts near the joints to retain the anime look, which limits range of movement for sure. Have a feeling the elbow can only bend about 90 degrees, and the knees may be only a little more (looks like a hidden double joint, but with restictions). Side note* - My Aoshima Shin Getter 1 has the same wobble ratchets as the new Metal Build Shin Getter 1, but at the knees and shoulders. Pretty much saying Bandai just made the same mistakes the primitive Aoshima did...2 decades ago LOL .
