How many of you just collect the SOC line and no other robot or toy lines?
I am one of those... Strictly SOC. And I am really glad because this means less money to spend on this very expensive addiction. I am so happy that I have not been tempted to cross over another brand of robots!

It is really not smart for you to do so. At least you should get some Max Factory chogokins since they are overall better than SOCs.

I admire your restraint but there are a lot of good stuff out there. You gotta at least throw in a Max Factory Mazinkaiser in there :-)

You've gotta have at least one Aoshima Mazinkaiser, since Aoshima pumps these things out like baby rabbits you can get one for a hundred bucks. But I do understand where your coming from, I mainly collect three lines Shin Seiki Gokin, MaxGokin, and SOC with the two MP's (Prime and Magnus), but with all three releasing figures at the sometime it can be a wallet killer.

I think that models by both Max Factory and Aoshima are sometimes better than SOCs. That's why I collect all of them.

Hey mazfan, don't be so closed minded. SOC's are great (I have 4 for now) but they just don't have enough diecast. I just recently purchased Aoshima's Mazinkaiser and was so impressed w/ the quality, I ran and got Shin Getter (Closed Wing Version); AWSOME!!. They're at least 80% diecast; only plastic parts are the hands, head and wings. I still love SOC's (plan on getting Battle Fever J Robo) but keep your options open. (That's why I still rent and don't own a house). ;D

Mazfan, I've got to hand it to you; you are an inspiration! I also started collecting one thing (Star Wars) but this (quickly) led to an onslaught of other toys. Your self-control is awe-inspiring. Keep up the good work (although you ARE missing out on a TON of great stuff out there!).
I agree...Toy collecting has become a rather expensive hobby.

All I can say is that all of you are bad influence! Man, I can't believe that I am not even remotely tempted to venture from the SOC line despite all of your glowing reviews of the other brands. Will of steel, huh?
Am I truly the only one here that just collect SOC's and nothing else? Got to say that I am proud of that. I tend to really focus on things. I am being true to my nature by sticking to this beloved line. Yeah, I really don't want to over crowd my glass display case--this is one of the main reasons, aside from the money thing.
Wow, I still can't believe that I am the only SOC purist here!

Are you guys telling me that the SOC line is a bit inferior in comparrison to other brands? That's kind of hard to believe... But then again, I have not really explored the others.

Ah, Mazfan you have presented us with a dilemma. A lot of folks are going to see this as a challenge. You realize how hard it's going to be not to go all street-preacher on you, and try to convert you to the DARK SIDE by any means from gentle persuasion to flaming you for lack of open mindedness.
By the way what's your address? I know of a good deprogrammer guy who would like to see you. When he starts telling you about the Gokin Camp Experience take him up on it. Twelve weeks in Intense 24/7 gokin cathartic intense encounter sessions counseling and therapy, and you'll wonder why you ever had such silly thoughts. You'll be happy serving a higher purpose in life---
Oh, where were we? In reality we are the mammoths out in the center of the tar pit calling out to you on the edge.
"Hey, c'mon in, the water's fine!"

I have the complete SOC GX1 to GX29 and almost all of the PX's (I am getting the Akira for my birthday and so this will complete my set). How many robots does I guy need? I am very happy with mine, I don't need more! Okay, Voltes V. Quite frankly, I am not too thrilled about acquiring robots that I have absolutely no knowledge about. A good example... That lighter guy that will be released soon. I am planning on getting BF but that's it for robots that I don't know. Bring on Daimos or something...

I have the complete SOC GX1 to GX29 and almost all of the PX's (I am getting the Akira for my birthday and so this will complete my set). I guess you're in pretty deep at that. All kidding aside, you do have to set some limits. I am in the process of packing away 6 of my perfect Grade models, and all of the Gundam stuff, toys and models, big and small except for the PG Strike. I just don't have room to keep up with the slow drip of Zinc into my limited living space. There's a bunch of SOC's that I don't have, and there's a lot of the new Bandai stuff that I know I just won't get: Aquarion, Xabungle, Battle Fever, the Lightans... A house has only so much room. Voltes is kind of a given- the Godannar just blindsided me. I haven't had that happen in a while- just seeing something that just grabbed me with that gut drop, "...Uh oh, you're going to just go for this thing right now aren't you?" And I'm at BBTS clicking "Buy it now" before the screen even gets done loading. The last thing I did that with was the Hot Toys Astro-Boy figure from ABCexpress. But that's another story. It is wise to keep some focus. JWM

Hi tecnoworld. Yeah, I mostly have the regular color version of each SOC release. I do have the black and white Combattler (a gift) and the GX-02R (my GX-02's left arm is really loose). I surprised myself when I started getting the PX line. The Mazinger head and Pilder are what got me into it. I like the PX's but they do look sort of out place, in comparrison to the SOC's--no regrets though...
Wow, I am so glad that I started this trend. It's such a good theraphy session. I like my collection. But an important question is will I like it less when I decide not to get all of the SOC's from here on up?
