I'd get it, just for the weapons and this addresses the question: Can you really have too many Gaikings? LOL I know you CAN have too many Mazinkaisers, however!

is the storyline of the new gaiking a continuation of the original gaiking series? or is it a new story unrelated to the original series? (like a retelling) either way, both gaikings are must haves (IMO).

WOW! I'm sold.... well at least about 75% on this toy. I'll wait for the reviews on the skull head plates and the trick knee issue first before I even consider getting it. Looks snazzy though.

Is this going to be a separate SOC release (example: GX-33) or will this be a GX-27R? Thanks.

This will probably be GX-32 since it's a different version of Gaiking and not a renewal/rivised version of GX-27.

Cool! it's got the Zector hook gimmicks(sort of)... Gold Zector whip? Am I the only one who thinks that the Face Open gimmick needs to be some sort of spring-loaded contraption?

You work like a maniac! hehe, i think bizzio is japanese or half japanese and half italian. and his father is a stockholder in bandai. they have a wonderful crib in modena italy, but main man bizzio always travels back to japan to attend bandai meetings and toy conventions, that's where he gets the scoops and cool pictures (j/k biz)

Nice.. so all three ships can dock with the Gaiking at the same time.. Gunwolf, nope hehe, it's "Zector Hook". New Gaiking uses it to retract his "Puncher Grinder"/Counter Punch.. the arms don't return automatically like Mazinger Z's and have to be retrieved manually. The hooks shoot from his shoulders to retract the fired arm, kinda like a grappling hook. Gold

Obviously it must not have been a funny one.

The June release Gaiking is a new version (I think it's the anime version, but I'm sure someone will confirm) with a different sculpt. I think there is still some confusion as to whether it'll be a SOC (GX) release or if it'll be released in the GE series. There are already some SOC Gaiking versions out there, this is a really helpfull thread to give you an idea of what's already been released robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=SOC&action=display&thread=1090015844I hope this helps

That's the SOC version. You can tell because the chest doesn't break into many pieces and the SOC versions been out for quite awhile now. The GE (new-TV) version isn't out yet.
