Thanks, Daimos is one of my favorites along with Voltes V, and I can't wait to see an updated version of him. I also considered him a predecesor of the Transformers ;D I just hope they find a definitive way of how his arms comes out when transforming, I can probably live with him having a huge wing from the clamshell trailer halves. but I hope they can also fix that so he'll look streamlined

welcome bro the anime magic in the transformation of daimos is not easy to apply in toy form. it can be done, but the tranzer cover is difficult to hide at the back of daimos. the robot wud not look good IMO. so they should make the final form of daimos instead. anime accurate, with excellent articulation that can do all those martial arts pose (like MF godannar), lotsa accesories and gimmicks. that wud be better i think. please read this soc/aoshima/max factory ...and make one already

Manny, do you think it's possible to make the tranzer cover (shells) to be collapsible like an accordeon?! If it is possible, the engineers at Bandai can design the shell to fold up to resemble a power back pack. However, they still need a way to make to make the head (the tranzer cab) to be proportional to the body/chest, either in robot or tranzer mode. The Godaikin version head is proportionate to the tranzer mode, but in robot mode it is too big. The computer rendering of Daimos by some Japanese guy - One of the guys posted it here (maybe in the other Daimos thread) - the head is too small for the tranzer mode, but perfect for the robot mode. This is another issue for Bandai to tackle. I believe the other parts (the legs transformation) are really feasible and Bandai eats this for breakfast. However, if the wheels can be retracted halfway into legs, it will be more anime accurate, cause the wheels (magically) shrink when Daimos transforms into robot in the anime. I hope Bandai is considering to make Daimos in the near future, preferably after Ideon (cross fingers)!!

Hi Donfig! Yeap, Daimos is indeed in everyone's wishlist, but as we all have learned here over the past year or so, "patience is a virtue" ;D Bandai is bound to release the most in demand and popular SOC's after releasing some 'filler' robots to keep the interest running. It's just a matter of time. nikodiablo: Dude, like MannyD said, anime-magic is one of the obstacles facing the Daimos toy, SHOULD Bandai decide to go with anime accuracy in terms of propotions and poseability (he is a karate bot afterall ) However, Takara was able to pull it off with Optimus Prime with their MP-01 line. It won't take the geniuses over at Bandai to come up with a radical transformation sequence (even if it will not be anime-perfect) to keep the look and feel of the Daimos SOC.

I think they'll use alternate parts and it will rock! I trust them, the future Daimos Soc surely will be as anime accurate as Voltes is!

I belive, in the polls on Degenki Hobby, Daimos often comes in at the top of the list. We'll see it soon, I'm sure.

I want a DAIMOS SOC NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how much people are asking for their Godaikins and jumbo machinder Daimos. It is insane. Of course, I want an SOC DAIMOS that I can throw against wall, drop from the second floor of my house, step on, submerge under water and be able to survive all that. Most SOCs so far although made with die cast are still too weak! One blow to the plastic joints and the toy is finished.
