I assume it's some robot from 2004 and it says below that the robot is a gattai robot. These are just my assumptions though.

None of the three robots that Bizzio mentioned are even out yet, and here comes Bandai again with GX-41... when does the madness end?

2008/09 will be the tenth anniversary of the SOC line so you can bet it will be a huge deal. It's stated it will be a combiner so I'm trying to figure out a combiner which is iconic and dear enough to Bandai to represent their ten year anniversary. Maybe GoLion or Dairugger although I don't know how Toynami's production right's come into play since they have international rights to those two "Voltron" characters. Perhaps a newer design like Dangaioh which could really be a design showpiece and show what Bandai engineers can do. Arrgh the possibilities and with the announcement of Iron Gear and Baikanfu it's even harder to predict Bandai's next choice for a SOC.

I'm thinking if it's a combiner it'll be Jeeg.

I guess GX-41 will be Dairugger. Not only because of it's legendary size, but also because the super-big one (not the St or DX) made by popy was plastic. Though originally panned to be die cast, but too expensive... This means Bandai now can make Dairugger as it was meant to be: big, detailed and die cast! And very, very expensive!

I don't know about Dairugger getting a SOC treatment in a recent issue of Toyfare, George Sohn of Toynami stated that they were looking into releasing the old Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger toy if the molds still exist and since their license is global it would be available worldwide. I don't know if this means if Toynami has exclusive rights to both Voltron's/Dairugger/GoLion or just the two Voltron's and not the GoLion or Dairugger licenses but I have a feeling that it does.

If not Dairugger or Golion, not many classic Popy combiners are left: God Marz, God Sigma, Daltanious, Albegas, Sun Vulcan, Biorobo, Google V, Flashman...
Do any of these have what it takes to be a 10th anniversary SOC? Daltanious maybe?
Or maybe they'll go for some sentai robot from the 1990s? Or something non-Popy/non-Bandai?

Out of that list I think Daltanius has a good chance, it's a pretty popular design and has been in many SRW games too.

GX-SG01
Complete with elevators and robo-boys.
Or maybe Mekanda Robo with planes and cars.
Diapolon?
just a thought...

Yet another reason to hate Toynami if they are indeed the reason why Bandai can't make an SOC Dairugger. As combiner's go, that would be on the top of my wishlist.
