Actually, I don't know if Bandai will use the list. A lot of other toys have come out before a lot of items on the list. I would'nt count out a large ultra deluxe Mazinger(seriously). I also think Dancouga Nova could get thrown in. Golion was just done and so was Mazinkaiser. I wonder if it would'nt be something crazy like a SOC Fullmetal Alchemist set. Think about, Alphonse is all metal and Edward is partly metal. It's probably the hottest anime to hit Japan since Eva. You know it would sell. You never know with Bandai anymore.

Golion?!?!? It is goint to be very, VERY hard for Bandai to top TOYNAMI's Masterpiece Voltron design. I don't think they will even try to.

I assume it's some robot from 2004 and it says below that the robot is a gattai robot. These are just my assumptions though. It just hit me: a combiner from 2004? ... Could it be? Is Bandai cooking up its own version of New Getter Robo (aka Shin Getter Robo 2004)? And if it is, considering the previous Getter SOCs, Getter or Getter s? And if that 2004 isn't important, Dai-X from X-Bomber would be sweet.

I know that the Getters are combiners but they were never such in the SOC treatment. If you are right, I wish Bandai would do a 'true' combiner of the Getters.

I see what you mean. But even if the figures themselves are not "true" combiners, one could argue that their animated counterparts were and that the "mix-and-match" gimmick of the previous Getter and Getter G sets is enough to make them combiners. Personally, I think that would be enough for Bandai to call them "combiners".
True, anime-perfect, "getter machine to getter robo" combining gohkins would probably be too expensive to make for that line. Unless they manage to acheive a better a look than the SHE Simple Change Getters (going for a Perfect Change concept for the SOC line would probably be suicidal), I don't think that would be happening. Or they could include different versions of the ships, transforming and non-transforming anime-perfect ones for the "gattai action". But with the success of the previous getter SOCs, I guess they would probably go the same way again if they ever did their version of New Getter.
...and I can't think of any other 2004 combiner show. If that's what that "2004" stands for.

Where does it say 2004? From that picture it says 2008 and that's just a rough release date not what year the robot appeared.
I don't know who it is but you can bet that it's either.
A - A super classic combining robot that was very popular but with a "simple" combination design ie. Daltanius, God Marz, God Sigma, GoLion, Dairugger.
or
B - A modern classic that would be a engineering masterpiece/showpiece to showcase Bandai's development ie. Dangaio, Godannar, Gravion?, or whatever.
Heck, knowing Bandai it will be Gundam RX-78-02 since it does sort of combine and Bandai never get's tired of making figures of this Gundam.

(I didn't even bother to look at the text, since I can't read japanese.) It seems like you're right. It does look more like an 8 than a 4. Darn it! Stop breaking my illusions!!! ;D Alright then. If it's not New Getter, I put all of my chips on Dai-X. Not that I'm sure it will be it, I just WANT it to be GX-41. Or to be... at all. GX-42, GX-45, 57, 99, whatever. Just make one already, Bandai.

Well this is interesting, as some people are stating Go Lion would be next!
But I would have to say that personally, I would love a soul of chogokin Daltanious!, or even maybe an Albegas, imagine the design and weight of them!!!!
If it was to be a more modern design, I would have to say a Soul of Chogokin Gravion would be great, or maybe even a Dancouga Nova!
But until the next figure is released, I don't think we are gping to fin out anything new quite so soon!

Hehe, could be another Super Sentai robot. Yeah, what about the first Power Ranger Show. It combines, it's fairly modern and it was a huge success for Bandai.

I sincerly doubt it's Golion or even Dairugger since Toynami has International rights to both those "Voltron's".

Outside of Zambot 3, Xabungle, Walker G (Clover) and Ideon (Tomy) have any other non-Popy/Bandai mecha appeared in the SOC line up? I wouldn't be surprised (and would be happy) if it was a Sentai combiner, but I'm patient, and I'm sure they'll come along eventually

Hoping that Golion is a possibility cuz since it was released on a recent Super Robot Wars game, unless otherwise. I would be surpsied if they released an SOC Daizyujin/Original Megazord cuz that never got a DX Chogokin treatment anyway!

I sincerly doubt it's Golion or even Dairugger since Toynami has International rights to both those "Voltron's". A bit off-topic but somehow related to chen's and kuro kishi's reply. Don't know if you guys played Super Robot Taisen W for the Nintendo DS, but surprisingly, GoLion is there. AFAIK, it's his first ever appearance on any SRW game. Does this mean that Bandai re-acquired the rights to GoLion? Or does TOEI still has the rights to GoLion, at least in Japan? More info anybody?

I think that a Soc treatment of Golion should be a waiste of time as Toynami has already done it correctly. Daimos, Daltanious, Jeeg, Danguard, Daitarn 3 or even Diapolon are the ones that Bandai should release to shake the foundations of the line. Us, old school classics robots fellow collectors, need a masterpiece as Gx 41 because how many of us were disapointed about some last releases in this line?

Does anybody truly know the status of Voltron/GoLion's exclusivity right now?

Does anybody truly know the status of Voltron/GoLion's exclusivity right now? Toei owns the domestic (Japanese) rights to Golion and they are free to license Golion toys to anyone in Japan. If Bandai wants to make an SOC Golion, they can. That being said, I very much doubt that they will.

Dairugger would be really cool. And I wouldn't mind a huge updated kick butt version of Golion. Gravion would be freakin awesome! But it won't happen..
I kind of hope it's not Daltanious or Daimos for some reason.
It seems like Toynami never quite seems to know what they are doing. I almost wish they would get out of the way, or team up with a Japanese company for production. Their Voltron was pretty good, but how many years of wishy washy-ness did it take to get it, and I don't want to put up with another ten years of on-again-off-again to see Dairugger come out.
Oh, and for the sake of my sanity, no one else suggest Gundam anything. That's all we need is another really big Gundam RX-78.
