Does anybody truly know the status of Voltron/GoLion's exclusivity right now? Toei owns the domestic (Japanese) rights to Golion and they are free to license Golion toys to anyone in Japan. If Bandai wants to make an SOC Golion, they can. That being said, I very much doubt that they will. I'm passing up Toynami's version becase I have a feeling Bandai will give Golion the SOC treatment. I guess I shouldn't keep my hopes up.

I have the toynami version and I am very pleased with it. So, I would like a different bot. God Marz was mentioned earlier - I would love to have an updated version of it.

It does look like GX-41 is Godmarz, or less likely God Sigma. Saw the Japanese link from Toysdaily that the leaked info so far is "GX-41 is a combiner, with the name begins with God...something".
Wonder how much better they can improve on Godmarz. Love the classic one when I was little. One of my favorite toy back then.

I kinda knew it would be some kind of classic Godaikin figure, Bandai's really been exploring new characters for the SOC line but in the end I knew they wouldn't forget their roots. I'm still hoping for a SOC Dangaio though..........

I Hope you guys are right. I loved my classic Godmarz as a kid an I miss it pretty bad (not $400 bad though). I bought the Knock off and was very dissappointed. Now it looks like I may get an updated version instead.
As for go-lion, like it has been mentioned before, the toynami version is basicly what you would get in an SOC. If Bandai wants to maximize its ability to sell a robot, they should try to pick ones that have not been recently udated. Alot of their target audience already has the toynami version and may not put down another $150 for the SOC one. They would have to make it better than the Toynami and probably cheaper to get those customers to buy.

I for one HOPEEEEE!!! that Golion is the GX-41 because The Toynami Masterpiece does not do it justice(sorry for you toymani fans out there). Quality wise, my opinion, there has not been a good quality toy of the golion. At first, i thought hey, maybe the masterpiece golion might not break and it may be perfect, but I disassembled the lions and out of nowhere the green lions bottom leg joint just snaped off. I Haven't even moved or assembled and disassembled much if at all, and i didn't use no force moving any of the joints. All my other robot figures like my SOC Zambot 3 and SOC Voltes, i disassemble them and pose them a whole lot, pretty much i play with them lol and not one of those broke or had pieces snap off. My Masterpiece Golion, I just let it stand in the Double Handed Sword pose. So much for $141 going to that. I think that if bandai makes a golion SOC, I think it will look better and quality wise be better. I Beg Bandai to make one. GOLION!!!! lol

GX-41¡¡ÁùÉñºÏÌå (GodMars) GX-42¡¡ ½ðëʨÍõ (Daltanius) GX-43¡¡ µ¯ÛÀ»Ë (Dangaioh) :-D Oh man!! if this is true then this is going to be the first time the SOC line will release combiners in succession. Just curious, was GodMarz that popular back in the day? I never got to watch even a single episode of it. Was it good? Gold
