Did anybody here get the new Scopedog or for that matter the Ideon or Zeroymer (sp?) from Yamato. What about the new CM Corps Gaogaigar, so far I've read just a couple reviews at www.toyboxdx.com but would like some more opinions on the figure.

simply stupid.
The ONLY diecast part is the legs, else almost nothing.

I'm still on the fence with the Zeorymer and S'Dog.
The main thing putting me off is the price. Although, the review and comments of the guys who already have it, make me want to see one personally, and judge from there.
I'll just wait for someone to review it here. I'm saving my dough for the 1/100 VB-6 Koenig Monster. According to Valkyrie Exchange, only 3 more weeks to go. ;D

Yeah I'm not too impressed with the CM Corps Gaogaigar, I'd rather wait for the Maxfactory full diecast version even though it doesn't gattai.
From what I've seen of the Scopedog, it, I don't know, looks unfinished, maybe with some paint apps. it would look better. Didn't they come in different colours in the Anime like red and black ones.

Thank you for that insightful comment. I'll be sure to let the product manager know what you think. However, I have a slight correction: the 'legs' are not die cast. The joints are die cast, throughout the frame. One extra point that the early reviewers are missing is that we have included two sheets of decals for customization. And what makes you think we aren't going to make more than one version?

I think with the diecast, hes talking about the CM corp gaogaigar.
I'm probably skipping the scopedog. Partially because I'm not too into the character, and thats a lot of money for a plastic toy. If I found it on clearance, or on sale, I might think about it. But christmastime is a horrible time to be thinking about such a large purchase. (esp with 4 kids!)
I'm interested in the zoermyer though, and maybe more mechs from that series...
I think the zoermyer and ideon scale and price is the sweet spot. I'm running out of room to display big bots like thr scopedog.
BTW, if anyone wants to review scopedog for CollectionDX.....

One extra point that the early reviewers are missing is that we have included two sheets of decals for customization. Decals? You mean water slide decals, and not those thick stickers that came with the Macross Valyries? I did read a part of the review from TBDX that the "decals" were "great!" Cool! Red S'Dog!

Zeorymer: The scale used for the Ideon and Zeorymer is branded Story Image Mechanics ; 7 - 8" ABS / PVC articulated. The US delivery for the Zeorymer is expected in mid-March.
ScopeDog decals: They are similar to the 1/48 VFJ Valkyrie's stickers, not hobby model decals. Sorry for misleading you.

So far, I like the reviews that I've read from other boards. Anywhoo, I'll give it more time to grow on me. ..who knows, I may even pick up Chirico somewhere down the line. ;D

i received my cm ggg yesterday and loved it! it has loads of gimicks. i would say that it is a good all rounder. it is a gattai and it has to do some concessions because of that. it´s like the opposite of mf gggg. gattai and playability VS great looks! If you have seen the pictures of cm ggg and liked the looks of it you should buy it .

I agree with Joy division, the Cm's GGG is a good toy. Not perfect, but not bad considering it's the first outing for Cm's into the diecast/ gattai robot arena. I can't really say the toy is "simply stupid". It's an improvement on a GGG toy that actually combines(Ok granted, having to remove the center piece of the Linear gao is kind of awkward) given that the only GGG toy that combines is the Takara and it was done a while back, I'm just happy to get a GGG toy that combines and comes out decent looking in terms of proportion. Even though there is certainly lots of room for improvement in this toy, like I said it's a nice try on their part. Also, to clear things up, the diecast is NOT limited only to the thighs, upon closer inspection(no offense, but one would notice this if one played with and actually "gattai-ed" the GGG) the entire main torso is diecast (except for the chrome parts on the lion) and also the ankles of the Gaigar are diecast as well. The Gaigar actually weighs 250 grams and the whole GGG combined(sans weapons) weighs 620 grams. The SOC Getter Dragon weighs 340 grams and the Combattler V 700 grams, while the Aoshima Miracle house clocks in at 580 grams. So the GGG actually isn't that bad when you think about it in those terms. The other parts are pretty much plastic. The accessories are pretty cool(except for the white plastic that's supposed to be smoke from the Broken Magnum, I wished they used clear plastic instead). Still, I'm hoping CM's comes out with a hammer for it soon. It adds a whole new effect for the toy:) I took the liberty of using the Takara DX Hammer and the results were pretty good, although it easily flops down with the slightest vibration it's a sight to behold. For more go here: robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=TakaraBrave&action=display&thread=1103728017It's also the same post I did over at www.toyboxdx.comGold

I have the scopedog, and I think it's a perfect rendition of the mecha.
I also applaud the fact yamato chose not to paint the plastic. Everything is molded in the correct color, making it feel more like a vintage toy.

Most of you guys probably saw these at TBDX, but in case you missed it there I took a shot of the Scopedog (which is incredibly well executed, btw...) Also a photoshopped Red Shoulder Custom and a look at what the Melkian version could look like: I like the toy so much I am planning on getting another and customizing it. Cheers, Tim
