Which Toy World forum thread did you pick up the Grendizer picture in? Like I said! I searched the toy-world Hong Kong forums and couldn't find anything about this. I don't read Chinese but the Bandai listing didn't bring up anything.

Does anyone else wonder about the possibility of those accessory fists and rocket trails being of compatible size with regular SOCs? The fore arm size is right!

Anyone else here watching Heroman? It's a new anime by Bones (Eureka Seven, Raxephon) and conceptualized by Stan Lee. It's kind of like Gigantor/ Giant Robo with a boy named Joey who can control a super powered robot called Heroman. It's pretty good so far, and I'd really like to see a SRC of Heroman at some point! Lots of opportunities for cool effect parts! I didn't realize Heroman was on air yet. Interesting looking character - reminds me of some of the Megaman EXE character designs. The collaboration with Stan Lee has me curious. I wonder if we have a thread about this character?

Regarding the over sized Kyoukagata Rocket Punch. If these fists are compatible with regular SOC's then they add a lot to SOC collector's display options. The Kyoukagata Rocket Punch was only available with SOC Secret Base before if I'm right. I've been trying to make some rocket punch trails for my Revoltechs and SOCs so I'm glad that Bandai have saved me the job of casting them.

I got the High Metal Mickey a few weeks ago from BBTS. It's probably as heavy as my die-cast Giant Robo!!
It's a nice figure. The face hands, shorts and feet are plastic but the remainder is all metal.
I'm using a stand to display him in better poses as that big head is a nosedive magnet.
The hands pop off a little too easily but its no big drawback. Overall I'm very please. That metal finish really suits him! ^___^

I've been collecting Revoltechs since no.001 and I've been really looking forward to Grendizer. He's my favourite super robot and the cause for me to start buying Chogokins. I picked up my Grendizer yesterday and it was unfortunately my worst Revoltech experience to date. Firstly the price. Last year I could by a Revoltech for S$24. Grendizer cost me an incredible S$59.90! Okay he does have some new articulation, a box for joints, and the flash foot stand but is that really worth double the price!! Tetsujin 28 and Gaiking had equal numbers of gimmicks and equally good articulation. Secondly the quality control of this toy was terrible! More than 6 paint issues, an equal number of rough sprue edges, and the peg on the stand joint has been cut short. It hard to believe so many faults could be shipped in one box.

I wish that Kaiyodo or Bandai were doing Rockman instead. I recently bought Hoi-hoi San and Frame Arms kits and was disappointed with how fiddly and hard to pose these kits are compared to anything Bandai makes.

I would love to see the guys from Dimension Diver do some work for Revoltech. They do great work and it would be fantastic to see them reach a wider audience.

GX-50 comes with transformation hands as well as snap on open and closed fists. You can also see that the electric beams from the yo-yo attack are now clear molded plastic.

I stopped by the Anime Festival Asia here in Singapore today. They had GX-50 and GX-51 on display at the Bandai booth, among other things. GX-50 has soooo many accessories and it looks awesome. GX-51 wasn't for sale even though it was a November release. I wish Bandai Singapore would get its act together, and I hope there isn't as much plastic in GX-51 as it looks like there is. >_<

I have the plastic Taekwon V and I'm really happy with it. I like the colour scheme on the plastic much better than the die cast metal toy so I won't be rushing out to get it. I'm glad to see more given Taekwon some love though. ^^ b
