I'm with mechamasterj. I'm not a fan of the movie version of Astro at all. If this was the Tezuka version I would have a hard time resisting.

I finally found a new GX-01X hidden on the top of a pile of toys on the top shelf of a local toy shop. Best part is the store only wanted US$65 for it. ;D
It sounds like this cracked gear is a common problem. Is there anything else I should be careful about?

I just stumbled across a GX-01X launch base Mint in original wrapping at a local Singapore shop for $65US!!
Do you think it will fix the GX-45 / GX-45R?

I've seen some pix with the little motorcycle. You can see the bike in the crown in the picture droutmaster posted. Have a look in the image posted by SuperAnimeRobot here: robotjapan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=SOC&action=display&thread=13898&page=40Eneger Z hasn't appeared in the anime yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns up soon. It's a crazy show. It'll be interesting to see the Great Mazinger too. I'm really hoping for a new Boss Borot, and some of the classic enemies. The designs from the show are pretty cool.

The only difference I can see from the diagram is the addition of a locking mechanism for the head. The magnet in the old version never seemed to hold the head in very well for me.

I might consider getting this one if the Koji was done to a better standard. He's a downgrade from the original and really rough when you compare him to the quality of Bandai's SH Figure Arts series. His arms are stuck in a strange pose when he's not in the pilder and the seams around his shoulders and head are wide open. -_-

I picked up mine today. He seems only about 2 cm shorter than my Grendizer. I'm more than happy with the increased pose-abilty, and the in flight stand. Some of the past robots might as well be statues below the waist.

I got a teal Jarknoid with my Gurren & Lagann today. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! There are only two real Revolver joints in the shoulders. All the rest are solid angled connectors. : You can get some poses by rotating these connectors but the feet will never get to an angle where it can stand unless I swap the connector for a proper joint. Shame - I was looking forward to this one. -_-

I picked up my Gurren & Lagann today from ToysNToys. Fantastic Revoltech. I love the chunkiness of the Gurren - even though for the most part this Revoltech feels more soft plastic than most. Great collection of hands and accessories. ;D
One side note - the Jarknoid in my box seems to have mostly fused joints. Only the shoulder joints are actually Revoler joints. All the rest are angled connector plugs. -_-
You can get some posing by rotating the plugs but it won't stand without swapping the ankle plugs for proper joints.

The Mazinger should stand about 5-6 inches tall if you compare it to the Bandai stand. I'm trying to find somewhere here where I can pre-order it.

A few Mazinger toys get this effect by reversing the wings. Can these wings be removed and swap direction too?

I love the super robots I really do. But I have to admit that I'm just as excited about the Gloomy revo as I am the upcoming Gurren Laganns!
I also think that anything that makes more money for Revoltech and means we can still get more robots is a good thing. I'm still waiting for a full squad of Revoltech Getter G's.

Only a few weeks before the GX-45 pre-orders start arriving in Singapore I'm told. ;D
Can't wait to get my hands on the model version too. I wonder what the size difference is? Perhaps the god scrandler from the model will fit the SOC?

Based on the size of the Bandai stand - this Mazinger is about 6 inches tall. ;D

I picked mine up in Seoul yesterday for about $40. Like you say it's a good figure with lovely clicky joints to hold those Taekwando poses. ^^ I missed out on the larger figure from a few years back so I'm really happy I was able to pick this one up.
