My order date is September 1. Went back to the thread and saw that someone posted that BBTS had put up the preorder around 11pm the day before. I do remember placing my order around midnight so you could say that I ordered the first day as well. My conf email from BBTS was received on 8/31/14 9:38pm pacific time. Not sure what time zone you are in. I wonder how BBTS prioritize filling order, by order time or name or perhaps by sales volume?? I'm in Texas which would put your order at 11:38pm here. According to my confirmation emails, it looks like I placed an order for Mazinger at midnight and then Voltes at around 9am. I do remember placing an order at midnight but I don't remember making one in the morning LOL. What the heck was I thinking?! Either way it looks like I'm way back in the cue. Sigh.

The longer this goes on and see all the rising prices, the more I worry BBTS might not be able to fulfill all their preorders. Anyone else who preordered from BBTS worried?

Well to each his own right? I personally don't go into a show looking for drama and seriousness. If the mecha looks awesome, I'll usually check it out but I definitely appreciate it if the story turns out really good too and gets me thinking about it beyond the mechas and fighting.

nope.. If you're looking for a Voltes you should sign up for NY's email notification service. It seems pretty up to the minute. Got the notification awhile ago and when I clicked on it it was available.

While it is true that the term "romantic" often means something related to love (like, say, the anime Daimos, which I heard is practically a SR show mixed with a love story), its general definition encompasses more topics: the word was first used to describe early European literary works, those stories were full of epic battles, love interests, treachery, kingdoms fighting for princesses and more fantastic adventures. The term was used again for Nagahama's works because they were something atypical for SR shows at the time. I mean, what did they have before? Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Jeeg, all shows which followed a "monster of the week" formula, quite repetitive (and that's part of their charm, tee hee). Then along comes Combattler V and Voltes V, shows with a story to tell, values and morals to teach, just like Daimos did. And Daltanious too. I still got to finish Daltanious (9 episodes to go) but I can safely say that there are deep differences between the SR animes of the early-to-mid 70's and Daltanious, at least story-wise. It's probably the same with the other shows from the trilogy as well. I don't know about that second paragraph bro. If I remember correctly, Combattler, Daimos, and Voltes also were a "monster of the week" cartoon, just like all the rest. The ones you mentioned, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Jeeg, also had a story to tell. It was about the bad guys trying to take over the world, and the heroes stopping them. Again, just like all those anime - with one exception (of the ones I've seen). Yes, as much as I dislike Gunbuster, I think that one had a different and unique storyline. Unlike all the others, which at the end, all lead to the Monster Of The Week fight. }D I don't think he said that they didn't have a monster of the week but in addition to that the stories ran deeper than bad guys trying to take over the world. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that. I've never seen combattler but I'm pretty familiar with the other 2 and they both pretty much had subplots that would be considered adult themes. Voltes v's was deep enough that a government thought it could incite dissent and banned it.

I'm pretty sure that sign is from HK or Taiwan. Traditional Chinese is used instead of Japanese. Ah oops! I guess that answered my question!

Wow, exciting times, grendyrj ... I was able to order through BBTS so I hope they can fill all pre-orders in the 1st quarter of 2015... Me too. It did worry me when they changed the release date to "1st quarter of 2015" from "January 2015". I'm hoping it's nothing but it is suspicious.

Just wanted to give thanks to glane21. Did a transaction with him last week and it was smooth and fast (considering it was the holidays, too). Item was exactly how he'd described. This is my first purchase from this board and it couldn't have gone any better! Thanks!

Sorry if this was covered before, but does this 40th Voltes have the ability to turn into the Voltes Tank like GX-31V? Or is this the first mold of GX-31 where it can't do it yet? The 3rd pic in their promo page shows it in tank mode tamashii.jp/item/10817/
