I'm liking the chunky look for the robot mode. Looks like a voltron that can go toe to toe with a robeast. Almost SRC-like. There are some things that look off to me in the lion modes. Like the necks/upper torso of the blue and yellow feels a little narrow. Wish they were a little thicker. Loving all the accessories. The blue in the sword kinda threw me off. I always thought it's been just one solid color. Anyway, can't wait for December. Time to start saving!

Can anyone read Japanese? Is it labeled as Voltron or Beast King GoLion? According to Google Translate: "I was waiting for."

Only thing I wish it had was the original theme music. I find myself humming it during the intro and the combine sequence complete with "I'll form the head" narration. I know that's cheesy now but it just seems lacking without it. Like somebody hit the mute button. Overall I do like the show and it's very well done. I really do hope bandai comes out with an SOC.

I believe japan's currently on a week long holiday so I probably wouldn't expect them to announce anything. It'd be a nice surprise if they do. Also they do have an event on May 21-22 so that may be the time we'll see something.

Cool to see this in a mag like Forbes. Thanks for sharing. It is pretty cool. I remember reading another article from there before about Macross, Shoji Kawamori and stuff regarding the supposed plans for a live-action movie. This was awhile back but I think it was written by the same guy.

I hope they announce SOC Pacific Rim Jaegers. They've talked about wanting to do it and, in their own words at a previous interview, "show NECA how it's done." Also, Voltron to show toynami how it's done I think now's the time for it to happen. There's renewed interest in Voltron because of the new show and I have a crazy theory that the reason Toynami's been releasing Voltron stuff left and right is because they know bandai's coming.

Not sure if anyone's posted this yet (Did a quick search on the site but didn't see any). Anyway, Forbes.com has a nice article about Tamashii Nations full of awesome info on a lot of things. They touch on SHF, chogokins, processes and hints on future stuff. www.forbes.com/sites/olliebarder/2016/03/02/bandai-is-building-its-very-own-tamashii-nation/#7234d8bc1363Some things that grabbed me: - They mentioned how showa era mechas are still popular in certain countries like italy and that kinda gave me hope that the SOC line and the like are not dead yet within bandai. That or just more Mazinger Zs for everyone :/ - They were actually interested in getting Pacific Rim. With a new movie now more certain to come out I hope they try to get a license again and make them this time. SRC Jaegers and Monsterarts Kaijus please! - There's a part in it where they talk about SHF and trying to make a distinction between highly-articulated figures and mass market figures and how some licensors unfortunately don't see it that way. When I read this, I thought of Marvel and Star Wars and how they seemingly aren't able to sell their SHF versions on the US market because of those two's relationship with hasbro. They do mention that there's good news coming soon so hopefully it's in regards to this with Mezco now doing 6-inch Marvel figures.

Missed out on the Ultraman anniversary set. It was already on my cart, added baltan and more option act buildings and when I went to check out, it was already gone! Had to pick up the regular release instead. Now trying to convince myself I don't need the spaceship :/

Got mine yesterday and to me he just looks so awesome that I don't even notice the hip kibbles. It's there but for some reason it just doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would have seeing all the pictures. Btw, did any bros who preordered hi metal r roy fokker from NY paid or asked to pay for it? There is a pay later option provided (which i chose), however, the item is listed as a "bandai premium" item. Usually in such cases, NY will demand payment for it soon. I chose the pay it later option. I'm assuming as well that I'll have to pay a couple of months before actual release which is fine With me as long as it's not right now hehe.

This is probably the easiest one to get so far. Makes you think maybe they should just release all of them as Premium bandai and we'll all just PO it from NY instead of the torturous preorder madness lol. Of course we lose the discount other sellers usually have and the price actually goes up a bit. Which one would you prefer? Cheap but a pain to get or a tad more pricey but so much easier to get?

Anyone else see the SHF TMNT figures? I know I'm going to get this set of turtles. I could say that i wont but I know i will cave in and get them. I thought my TMNT collection was done. Yea. They look great. I've been waiting on a proper classic TMNT and looks like SHF nailed it. The playmates ones just didn't do it for me. With regards to the revoltech ones, I just had no attachment to the new designs although they did look great.

Which Bandai stand is compatible with these Hi-Metal R figures? Tamashii stage act 5 will work.
