If you've still got a line of contact with Sculpt Labs Kuma, let them know we also appreciate their product.

The Huck MkII is literally my favorite Gundam. That, and Tryon 3. I even made an approximation of the Huck in Gundam Breaker 3. I was gonna do it again in New Gundam Breaker, but we all know how that sh*t-show played out and I couldn't get motivated enough. The Strike Pose is to beam rifles as the Obari Pose is to giant swords feat. the painted Bullet fig that came with the 1/100 Koto kit from ages ago Technically Banpresto owns SRW as a franchise, but Bandai more or less owns them though they don't really make use of the merch licenses. Koto is really the only company that makes anything and back in the day there were Volks and Unifive I think? Banpresto made some crane machine prizes for the series, not sure if they still do.

I got mine though Gundam Model Center, they're legit.
IIRC the name is based on the Chinese nickname for the Huck and translation shenanigans, but don't quote me on that its been some time and my memory is hazy.

Got mine today. All the joints are very tight and will need to be worked a little (ankles are scary tight). Looks like mine was put together while the paint wasn't fully dry in some places, there are a few plastic joints that were stuck and some paint residue that just rubbed off on a few areas of one arm. It absolutely looks stunning and the storage compartments in the base are a nice touch. Mine will probably never get the base head/shoulders/backpack put on again since those look like just a way to circumvent as a not-HuckMkII. Kinda wish there was a storage slot for the beam swords beyond the base backpack, though. And it'll also only get the single barrel for the G-Impact Cannon, since that's canon. Also kinda wish Sculpt Labs included the Shishioutou, but that's just esoteric nerdistry at this point.

I don't keep up with this section of the forum so no idea of what you're talking about but yes it's the MKII and it came in today and is freaking glorious. I'll get some pics and stuff going a bit later and try to check for the correct thread. Its the latest discussion in the thread here (http://robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/25369/3rd-party-mb-gundams-kos), but this one's probably just as appropriate. Your first impressions are inspiring some confidence this might be a good piece.

Sooooo apparently a new version of this is coming to my house tomorrow? Will keep you all posted. The MkII version that's recently been posted about in the 3P&KO MB thread? Because please do, I've been eyeing it all week.

I've had this barely a week and I've already got paint rubbing, scratches, and chipping. FML Unfortunately, when you have a fully painted toy or model kit wear and tear comes with the territory if you play with it. I was prepared for that eventuality. I don't buy these to put in a static pose for all eternity (otherwise I'd just buy statues), but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

The Huck is one of my favorite mechs and the MkII is my fave of the line, so I'm interested in this. Kinda apprehensive due to the quality though, based on what f360 said about the previous releases from the maker. If anyone gets it, please give us the low-down.

Ya know....there’s something about how crazy and difficult the transformation is that I find appealing. I am REALLY looking forward to getting mine Except its really not that crazy or difficult? I mean, if I had to compare it to something, I'd say its not that different from SOC GGG. Actually, I think GGG may be a touch harder because Galeon/Gaigar has to be manipulated a lot more. You should look at the manual to do it "properly" the first time around but its straightforward enough to intuit your way through if you don't hamhands it.

Had to whip out my phone and Google Translate the manual to see if there were any warnings about G Striker and Attacker being different. And it looks like there's some slight difference in their range of motion? Kinda wish they engraved/embossed an L and R on the inside when you open them up to combine so you can easily tell which is left and right without having to look at the ankle joint and trying to remember. :T
He's definitely nice and the satin finish is a pleasant change of pace from SOC. The unsecured peg joints for the arm swivels are pretty eehhhh. I don't know if I'd be interested in any further Gravions or more stuff from Sentinel, though. That price took a bite out of my annual toy budget, so I'll just have to see what else comes out now that I've got first-hand experience with the line.

That's almost as much metal as the Ohrai MechaG, and that thing is a diecast cookie with plastic chips.

From a distance they look good, but fit issues and some details being kinda mushy/washed out are pretty eehhh.
I've got a couple of their v2 MG articulated hands also and they're not bad. Closer to authentic in quality than some of the other KOs even though they've been slightly retooled.

Bandai ARE crazy, and the ways they get your money (which they WILL) is kinda roundabout.
