Saw the godzilla toys on sale in a local departmental shop, not really impressed with them. The regular Bandai figures (not MonsterArts), or the Neca's? I got two Neca Godzilla figures coming from EE. I hope they don't suck... }D Was referring to the figures posted by droutmaster in the first post of the thread, apologies, should have been more specific

I think there's some truth in it though this release is not a regular tamashii release. Buyers need to be physically present and queue for the item if i am not wrong. And this amount to extra costs, especially NY outsource the queuing to someone else. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, ordered from NY was afraid i might have to resort to buying from ebay which could end up far worse than buying from NY.

coming fresh out of a vintage toy collection background, the key thing i learnt, is not to compare a toys's aftermarket prices to its original retail price. we have missed purchasing them when they were just released for various reasons and its all down to how much we want it, be it 10 or 100 times its original value. similarily, collecting modern toys somewhat adheres to the same theory. by and large, collectors tend to pay less when they (take the risk) and preorder the toy, although there are times when the value of the toy depreciates after it was released becuase it turns out to be a dud. on the other hand, should the toy receives rave reviews and its numbers getting limited, its aftermarket price is bound to appreciate and collectors who did not take the chance earlier or ignore for whatever the reasons, can expect to pay more. i guess thats normal. so end of the day, get it if you want it and if your wallet allows, if thats what makes you happy

Although i ordered the yf-29 super parts, I am starting to skip certain accessories such as the tornado parts for the vf-25 valks, just too many of them. These modern valks already looked good on their own.

To an extent, i guess its responsible of them to shut down the site instead of giving customers false hopes or misleading information. Over the years, I have came across establishments that have long shut down but refuses to remove their webpage or sites that are containing outdated information and not updated at all.

Actually, are the QC issues on the first issue freedom gundam that widespread? I have opened and displayed mine, apart from finding the colour to be less vibrant when compared to other MBs, i did not pick up any other issues.

Awesome looking piece! Cant imagine if three Zero start doing anime accurate Super robots. That would be nice to see later on. In the meantime, let 3zero show off their style. I think 3zero should stand out their own with those particular mechanical designs in that style of sculpt. If they could come up with their own mecha characters and promote them through mangas, games, and mini-series animation they could start themselves a fan club. For now, it's fun to see 3zero perform their own renditions of mecha/robot characters; at least that would introduce the market to their brand of sculpture style. Once they get the market's attention, they can start producing their own characters and slip-stream those into the same promotional outlet with these current items. zozo-mag Yup, thats true also, provide an alternative to collectors. Otherwise, they could always do something fans love, but bandai have yet to produce or cant be bothered to do it.

Dont Understand why NY want to open and close their preorders intermittently. If they have sufficient stock, just open the preorder until everything is sold out.
