Think I may have the parts close to a better red hopefully. Most likely will have 3 wings (2 need cleaned up yet) for a good deal, with one spoken for.
The Raydeen BowFist replica has been started for a silicone mold of it. Am looking at ordering more silicone again. I should have bought a gallon worth instead of the trial size cans, lol. . . After that, I want to start on a Mazinga Scrander Jet piece that will be of similar style to the "snap-on" waist version with the higher wing set. I think it looks much cooler than the straight wing version with the belt.
Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate your words.

The web page has a 3 more different views. I can take some more pics if those aren't satisfying Not sure if I want to go orangish, I was shooting more of the same color as Mazinga's Jet Scrander and the red like the GaiKing GA-51 miniature diecast has. If someone wants an early piece with the color not dialed in or something else not quite right, shoot me a PM, and will work out a good price for it if you aren't crazy picky. All are spoken for. Thanks, Wes

The wing is gonna have to cure overnight as is still pliable. The jet piece looks good, a few tiny air bubbles when you look close, but that is on the inside not outside. The outside is nice and smooth.
They have cured more of a maroon color, so will have to add in more white or maybe some yellow pigment to bring out a red.

1st pours for GaiKing's Wing and Jet I am quite excited, demold time is 1 hour, but I will wait at least 3 hours to let them harden up a little more before popping them out. Maybe yet tonight, will have photos of GaiKing and his new Jet Pack posted up. Attachments:

Instead of using the Smooth-On website, I was referred by them to use the Reynoldsam website. It is distributor for them, but located in Chicago for shipping instead of shipping from Alabama, I think, or one of the southeast states. The Reynoldsam site has the same products, information, pricing, etc. Wish they would send me a trial size of all the different silicones and resins for free They did send me, upon request, round flat pogs of cured resins which was nice to see the feel and look of them for possible different usages.

Looking at the mold this morning, it appears to be setting up fine. So, should be able to work on the second part of the 2 piece mold tonight. And if all goes well, pour first cast Saturday evening finally !!!

Tony, I love your tutorial, a lot of great information in it. I just haven't had the ambition to do something like that myself. But I really enjoy yours.

The weather has been on the cool side, but I have kept the shop around the low to mid 60s, so I haven't been affected any.
I just stuck the new piece into the old mold. I cut back the impression area about an 1/8", poured some silicone in, and then allowed the new piece to ooze into place. I was lucky and didn't have much over-flow. It sure beat doing up a whole new form and only had to use a little silicone.
Also, got in a gallon of smooth-cast 326, it has become my favorite for casting. Pot time is 7 minutes and the de-mold time is 60 minutes, but with the cooler shop temperature, I have waited 2 to 3 hours though.
The smooth cast 320 trial stuff I got in will be tested with roto-casting, it sets up too quickly for my taste at a pot life of 3 minutes. Tends to thicken too much for me at only about 1 to 1-1/2 minutes.

I tried to primer and clear coat the jet piece, but still had not favorable results.
Last night, using the not so good mold, I made a resin piece and sanded it down. I looks really good, slightly better than my first. Tonight, I plan on finishing the jet piece and maybe get a new mold of it going again. Shouldn't have problems for the silicone curing this time for sure <crosses fingers>
Only about 5 to 6 days behind schedule due to silicone curing inhibitions. Almost betting if I had used tin cure instead of platinum, it would have done fine.

Here is the back attachment piece molded. I had to add one lap of yellow electrical tape to get a snug fit into GaiKing due to small plastic shrinkage.

Me too, but I've had horrible luck this weekend on some silicone setting up.
Found that platinum silicone does not like Rustoleum Gloss Enamel that I was using on the jet piece. After some testing today, I discovered that is what caused a gooey mess around around the casting piece. The silicone did like almost every thing else for paint, Lustercote, Rustoleum primer, Krylon Fusion, Matte Clear paint, Turtle Wax ..... LOL. Very frustrating time. So, I have done a re-primer job and will coat with then some Matte Clear.
So.... should be able to get the first of the 2 part mold going again tomorrow afternoon or evening. And then the second part of the mold on Tuesday evening.
I plan on dyeing the plastic for the greatest durability and no flaking or scratching off of paint. I want to do the Jet and Wing pours at the same time to have the best plastic color match. If I did them separate, I am sure there would be subtle color difference.
In a nutshell, am 2 days behind currently due to the paint/silicone issue. Was hoping to pour tomorrow, but now looks as the earliest may be Wednesday night.
Stay tuned...

Oh, and if you see something on ebay that I have listed, like the Raydeen replacement part or Maginga brain ship.
Shoot me a PM or e-mail at bourno (at) teambac.com and I will work out a better RJ member price or I tend to toss in something extra like a not perfect Mazinga ship, Raydeen missile, might be a test piece.
I have a few Raydeen shooter pieces that the end 1/16" to 1/8" didn't mold due to a small air bubble (got that figured out now) and a couple pieces that are more purplish when first playing around. I will give those away at shipping and packaging cost. Not all of them, as need to share the wealth around for any others interested.
Happy hunting and collecting

Believe the wing mold. I need to load up the pictures yet to my web site This is Oomoo 30 used for it. Took 2 pounds of mold, pretty much the whole trial size cans.

I just looked it up; the Oomoo 25 works and sets really FAST (75 minute curing time). The Oomoo 30 cures in 6 hours. Either one works faster than my Alumilite HS3 silicone rubber which cures in a minimum time of 18 hours. I think I'll try a gallon of this Oomoo rubber The Oomoo 30 is nice for not needing to de-air and pours nice. But, it is a little soft and more squishy than their Sort Clear 40 platinum cure silicone. Was hoping for a little stiffer molds. The Oomoo may be better used to single cavity mold to pour into. I wouldn't trust it for larger 2 piece molds as I have done with their Sorta Clear 40, but it really needs a vacuum pump to de-air it or will spend much time rotating the cup to break and pop air bubbles little by little. And it has a long curing time. I have been working mainly with the Smooth-On brand due to the variety of selection. But, can be hard to narrow the resin choices. So far I like the 325 series "true color cast" over the 320 series, as can't make a true white with it with the white colorant. Otherwise, the 320 series stuff is wonderful. I got some Task 9, but is a little thicker than the 300s for detail work and can leave air bubbles. Also, bought some of their 45D, but haven't used it much, I was going to use it for some of the condor ships to be slightly flexible. I need to play with it again. Also, got their roto-cast 65 for some Raydeen fists, but haven't opened it up yet.

Sure does, I have needed a replacement for my old Raydeen and the one Kingston sold me was in good shape. So... ;D great work on the Raydeen Delta Missile Launch Pin cast. Does it work as good as the original? ~Will

Cool looking L-brackets, better than legos depending on the height needed.
