My understanding is that the articulation will be similar to MT01 but with cleaned up joints.. I think he may have said something about a better way to make a shoulder joint... not sure.

I DO collect vintage.. I just don't have any good ones right now. Best vintage I have is a 1st edition Great Mazinger Jumbo.. then I have a 2nd edition that needs a chest piece and condor. Then I got a vintage popy Bazoler that was missing so much stuff I turned it into a custom re-paint and I have a vintage mini Grendy Shougn Warrior. Whenever I come across a vintage in good condition in the box, the price is way more than I can put into my budget. You gotta remember, Im juggling 2 Buell motorcycles and an extensive club-life and huge wardrobe of goth clothing ha ha
whenever I get some money in my pocket Im like "you know, that Hlpro thing is just sitting there... or should I go ahead and get that SOC Getter Dragon?"... you know how it is.. all that temptation out there can pull you away from the vintage market....

OK, its over with then. But I would like to add something and I think Baron can attest to this.. I was a HLpro Fan over Bandai even before I met those guys. Reason being is that Hlpro reminds me more of a classic Popy figure than Bandai does and I grew up Popy.. I just like that look and feel. Im not all that into really realistic and high-tech looking stuff. I like stuff from "the good old days"

IM not saying that you guys cant speak your minds but Im asking you guys to be understanding...these guys are working HARD to give us what we want within reason. These guys are not lazy or unreliable.. its just that the battlefield is a dynamic place and the best plans rarely survive contact with the enemy. Just like an army, a good business remains flexible and able to respond quickly to changes behind the scene. One plan may be switched to another plan in the middle combat.. as an ex-Infantry soldier that's the best way I can explain whats going on with these companies.
But PLEASE, do not attack me or my friends if the battle plan changes... I will keep you updated. Gin Gin and a bunch of other stuff is soon to arrive.

thanks Getter.. I just don't like my credibility to be called into question.. I give accurate information for the time that I give it... but there is always a possibility that some unforeseen factors change what I said in the past..
I also updated that post I put up before this one..

I was giving the "unofficial" date.. just as a heads up to guys. HLPRO had given me permission to keep you guys posted on the progress and estimated release dates OF CERTAIN THINGS... like when the pegs on Gin Gin came back from the factory out of spec, I even told you guys what the problem was and that the date would have to be pushed back.. that was never "official" info.. it was info that was only given right here to YOU GUYS.. by ME, a friend of the guys running HLPRO. ... and I DO get mad a little bit when anyone disses a friend of mine who is working his f**king ass off to get things out to collectors. I had no idea as a fan how much bullsh*t these companies have to go through to get these things made. So many things can go wrong and so many things HAVE TO GO RIGHT. Im just asking you guys to be patient..chill out... both Bandai, CM and HLpro work hard as a motherf**ker to get these things out.
and let me add this.. HLpro doesn't lie or hype. If something gets delayed or something falls through., its always for a good reason. There is no "mean spiritedness" involved with it. Its usually due to something unexpected happening backstage that forces them to make a common sense decision that the collector cant see because he is not 'in the loop" of information. If you were to hear the reason for your self you would be like "oh yeah, of course.."

Its cool.. thing is Im not a "spokesman" I don't work for HLPRO and I don't do this for a living. You know I just got a friend that has a lot of pull over there. I tell you guys everything I can as it comes up. The info I can give is accurate as can be at the time but things are ever-changing and problems and delays sometimes pop up and have to be overcome by these guys. These companies are not big "Soviet-style" Mass-production American companies that build things on massive credit lines propped up by shareholders and all that. These are fluid companies that are very independent with a lot of personal stuff happening in the background.
Last I was told. PBMs order should be at their warehouse on the 9th... it should go on sale soon after that. I do know that Gin Gin was built and completed months ago.. its done! Then they decided to wait until a bunch of other stuff the distributors wanted was completed so it could all ship out together.. that way the unit prices would be lower due to reduced shipping costs for HLPRO.. it costs less to ship out one big shipment then ship out a bunch of little ones.
I don't mean to get pissed-off, just remember that Im doing what I can to put out "UNOFFICAL" info out the "BACKDOOR" to you guys that wont get me into trouble with my friend at HLPRO. He and I will be talking about all kinds of things a lot of it outside Japanese robots and every now and then something interesting comes up and Ill ask him if I can tell you guys... 20% of the time he says "ok".. rest of the time its "NO, too early to put that out" and then there is just personal stuff about the other companies and what they are doing ect ect.
But you guys don't worry.. Gin Gin is long finished and they are moving on to Gattiger.. they are shooting to get that one out pretty soon too... in the meantime, Gin Gin should be up for sale in a little more than a week from what they are saying.

Dudes are saying they don't value the info... calling me out on info that I gave out at the time but kept updating as things happened. Its like they wanna be kept in the dark. Life doesn't work the way we want it to.. sh*t gets pushed back, problems happen. Im just passing on info as it happens and they say the don't want the info.
Do you guys want me to keep updating or just check out?

I kept you all updated with the latest info as it went along. Damn, give a guy a break. Besides, I bet Im the only guy commenting here that is gonna buy Gin Gin anyway... you Metaltech stalkers you! ha ha Chill out, its a done deal and its in transit now..

all went out at the same time..same boat I guess. Ill have to ask.. pretty sure they aren't going to let one distributor sell it before another, its all going to go on sale world wide at the same time, last I heard.

nothing changed .. shipment was loaded into the boat 15th of August ... then about a day later, the ship was held up for a few days in Hong Kong due to a typhoon off the coast. Ship should be arriving in the US anytime.. but I think the sale will not open until all distributors have the Gin Gin in stock to avoid any unfair advantages.. so the sale should open in a few more days, maybe a week or so.

Its the distributors. When they order them, HLpro makes them. HLpro doesn't just make them then send them to the distributors willy-nilly. The distributors have to order them to be made. Its a business venture between the manufacturer and the distributor based on the demands of the market. Release too much too soon and you will totally lose your ass.
But if memory serves, I think we get Gin Gin, Gattiger and then Zmazinger , a new 12" action figure and a new Jumbo and a few other things like vinyls all in the span of maybe 18 months depending on demand and sales .. that's pretty good actually. You gotta remember themazingerz, HLpro is pretty diversified, they've put out quite a bit of stuff the past 18 months, that big Duke Fleed, the Vegan soldier, that 10" Grendizer vinyl they been pretty busy.. its not just all about Metaltech. The MT line is for guys like "us"... the average HLpro customer is buying things like t-shirts Mugs and calendars .. the cheaper stuff. That all cool, even Harley Davidson does that. Harley makes more from t-shirts and gifts then they do from selling motorcycles. Its just good business strategy.
