Man, still no final production shots anywhere? that's a worry... Hope this ain't another mediocre Garland design.

Nailed the individual lion add-on gear - and black lion aside - they help detract from their cute over-sized heads XD Anyway, they scaled this thing just as I hoped they would, and the price is spot-on too. While not an actual Voltron fan myself, I've always wanted a quality representation, and SOC is where it's at, kinda dig the fact it looks like it was designed a couple of years ago, feels more legit? weird, I know.

Gotta love how the actual retail price is a load of baloney these days... The "sale" price, is the intended MSRP. I'll be very surprised if anyone asks for anything over ¥27,000 for this...

Looks... kinda goofy? but it's probably just these pics; surely. Anyway, a Voltron with lion legs that don't look cheap and nasty - is a first here. Voltron toys always have the crappiest looking lion legs for some reason. These look to be nice beveled castings with sweet chrome. Really hope the paint job is up to their higher standards, it'll be killer if it is, hopefully the perfect scale they chose (in my book), will have allowed for a high quality paint job.

Doesn't BBTS have a two week cooling off period? Pretty sure you're locked in after two weeks expires from the date of your order. I rarely buy from BBTS, as their international shipping fees are the highest of any US retailer I've ever dealt with; and their packaging isn't always bullet-proof - like it used to be. They also take much longer than any other retailer to process your order, when I'm paying an arm and a leg for express shipping, I expect consideration as regards my order being hurried along. Amazon is a good example of how to do it right, their handling time is commensurate to the shipping speed you've opted for, HLJ is also lightning fast - as are most Japanese retailers, but HLJ is consistent. I have to disagree somewhat with Amazon. Yes, you can get things fast, but Amazon sometimes has the worst packing in packaging. It's hit or miss with them. And especially since they use those little air baggies, sometimes you don't get sufficient baggies surrounding your object and your object ends up sliding around and the box arrived scuffed or even has corners dinged. This happens to me all the time with books, much more toys. If I ever order chogokins from Amazon, it's hit or miss if they will arrive in good condition, at least from my experiences. I've never had BBTS pack insufficiently. Agreed with Amazon's hit & miss packaging, but they totally look after you if there's a problem - as in full refund, and new replacement sent via express shipping. As for BBTS' packaging; sure, they love that green bubble wrap, and it works great in most instances. My problems have been with multiple goods, they line the box with the wrap; and throw everything within the remaining cavity to bang around with everything else. Maybe I should mention it to them, because it's the primary reason I no longer care for their POL feature. Anyway, gone way off subject here... XD

CD Japan does not require immediate payment...just a pre-authorization. The only place that has a no-frills cancellation is BBTS. But, they are going to be pricier overall (at least for me since I'm buying from Canada). Doesn't BBTS have a two week cooling off period? SDCC is not an enjoyable experience; at least for me. I wouldn't go even if Bandai were to sell on the day, but do people really think Voltron will be on sale there? You guys must be new to how the whole toy merch business works. Doubt we'll see it at retail before years end, and I'll be waiting for reviews...seeing as Bandai will make tens of thousands of these, I'm not worried about "missing out".

I've got a vintage, mint VF-1S and I've only ever displayed it in bot mode. Tried to transform it once, but the tail fins (one of them) didn't want to cooperate, so I let it be. Would therefore love a chance to buy a new reissue. Hope it happens...

Hope it's not a massive hulking thing with token die-cast...would love for this to be an intricately detailed 10" figure with 1980s level of metal content. So glad I haven't spent money or wasted shelf space on any of the current/passed Voltrons.

¥17,000? isn't that a bit steep? or am I missing something?

Love the Garland, but the engineering of the toy(s) has always been poorly executed. Think I'll wait for in-hand reviews before parting with my cash, especially as Fewture could easily have stuffed this up...got a semi bad vibe about this one.

Guess I won't be selling off my Revoltech... besides that, I've always loved it - it's one of Revoltechs better toys in my opinion.

They have very low production runs, to compare their pricing to something from Bandai for example; is a mute point - just saying. Personally I stay away from the more complicated robot designs they release, I don't think their magnet system is appropriate engineering wise, and nor are they particularly appealing aesthetically; to me anyway.

What's the go if I want to cancel my order with amiami? Never canceled an order before, wondering if it'll be a problem with future orders from them. When you request for a cancellation, you will most likely receive a telling off from them. But they will go ahead with the cancellation anyway. Just make sure you dont do it too often as they will most likely tell you repeated cancellations will result in cancellation of your preorders or even closure of your account. Thanks. Never cancelled before with them, see how I go.

Any updates on this? I've been checking Art Storm's page and their EX (http://artstorm.co.jp/exgokin_series.html) or EX+ lines show nothing. Please don't tell me this got canned does anyone know? Definitely not canned, they had the prototype on display at Super Festival, just over two weeks ago. But it didn't look anywhere near ready for production, unless of course they didn't bother to bring a newer sample to the show. Anyway, it looks killer in the flesh.
