Haven't felt the need to purchase an SRC Mazinger...until now.
Don't care for horoscopes, but this (awesomely tacky) deco will look fantastic on my oriental themed display shelf.

HLJ's infomercial "review" aside, there's still no actual reviews of this thing.

Yeah, these clean; proportioned Super Robot designs, seem just right for their magnet system. I think it's when chunky designs with mass in their limbs come up, that potential trouble awaits.

just paid for it. will be my 2nd villain after KingDan! my 3rd bot from this line. Problem is I don't have any Great Mazinger in my collection now, haha. What are your thoughts on their design and engineering? They seem to be a love or hate affair for most...I think. Personally I like their feel and aesthetic, they kinda feel like a cross between a model kit and a toy. And as someone that dabbles in model kits and toy customizing, I really dig the overall vibe.

Great Mazinger - Super Human General Julicaeser. Up for sale at Anime Export - www.anime-export.com/product/28689There's only 400 of these manufactured...guess that explains the hefty price. Anyway it's awesome to have sweet Kikaiju like this being produced.

Same here, absolutely love the TV SDF-1, and if I didn't have such a crowded first quarter (with pre-orders) next year; I'd be buying two of these. There's probably going to be plenty to go around, but I thought I'd mention it in case they sell out quick - it's already in AmiAmi's top five list.

Personally, i love megahouse's cosmo fleet specials. Good details and quality. will definitly look forward to the sdf-1. 200mm is quite big for a cosmo fleet special. Looks like they went the extra mile on this one, hence the higher than normal price, not that I'm complaining; as it looks terrific.

Are these SOC scale or SRC scale? They scale very well with SOC, they are about the size of the older SOC robots.

What's wrong with the magnetic joints? its just my personal opinion man some might like it the problem i have with magnetic joints is the parts attached to it i have the CMs Gakeen and it hardly can stand and with the two robots that come with it i stopped trying to make them stand normally and 2nd anime accuracy, not every robot used magnets as joints so giving it to theses robots is kinda weird in my eyes but again that's just me I thought you were saying there was something wrong with General Yuri Caesar's joints; specifically. You are of course entitled to your own opinion otherwise, sorry for the confusion.

No apology necessary They will definitely be a neat group of robots, and I sure hope they keep at it. There are so many other cool Kikaiju that I'd love to own in this format and scale.

Hey choliux. Not on display at Lucca but There were already four kikaiju non Garage Kit exclusive to AE. One was Abdulah, the fire wheel head, the orange jump suit one and the bull headed one..... Sorry but I forget the name of the last three... Pretty sure there were only ever three? Kingdan, Abdora, and Belgas... could be wrong though.

Haven't been this interested in Macross merch since back when Yamato launched their 1/60 line, and to be honest, I much prefer the scale, feel, and price of the Hi-Metal R line. Anyway, as long as the world's basket case economy holds out - bring on the year of Macross Merch, 2016!
