I received the same BBTS message and was bumbed so I emailed them. They replied stating for those who pre-ordered say 5 Voltes' may be allowed only one, due to the "limited quantities" released. However, those who pre-ordered only one, will not be affected.

Everyone's expectations and desires out of an SOC is going to be different. For some they want articulation. For others, die-cast content. Maybe even overall design, looks, gimmicks etc, etc. For me, I'll take overall balance. I am no engineer nor am I a toy designer. So I'm just going to trust Bandai, a company who's been doing this chogokin toy thing for decades that they will give us the best version of these super robots. (with as much or little die-cast or not) Sure there will be flaws, nothing is perfect. Bandai can't satisfy everyone. But like TMZ said, I don't have to buy it if I don't want to..... But you better believe I'm picking this up!!!

From what I can read in the article, it does say they used the GX 01R+ version. It also says they've used metallic colors and a sharper finish (whatever that means)

It says they used the GX 31V volt in box version as a base, while imagining the Anime color patterns. They utilized metallic colors to embody a "high end" type of feel. Voltes bazooka and chain knuckle were also upgraded (not sure what that entails)

Materials is 80% plastic??? This is no chogokin.... The term, "Chogokin" is trademarked by Bandai which means "Super alloy" in Japanese. So techinically, you are correct in that this isn't a "Chogokin". Any non Bandai figure which uses die cast is more of a "Gokin". not trying to be anal, just sharing info.

Although I love rubber treads, those Franky treads are a work of art. I'm just glad I'm not going to mess with the tank mode when I get my Trider.

5. Voltes V- respect for volt in box (lovely homage to the original Godaikin) 4. Daitarn 3 renewal (although most do not like the gold crest, I personally think it looks better than the original) 3. Baikanfu (Bandai really pulled it off with the gimmick here, where most companies would've failed) 2. Godmars (simply put, amazing figure) 1. Dancouga GX 13R (aside from the discoloration issue, always loved the design. Such a beast of a robot, reminds me of a hummer) of course this list might change once Gaogaigar is released.

How loose are we talking regarding the ankles? I display my Chogokins in a wood cabinet, and the door is kind of tight. I wouldn't want him tipping over each time the cabinet shakes a tad when I open the door. Is it really that bad?

I think it's the paint job that I'm not digging. Makes it look a little cheap to me (even though Sentinel is not known for pricing their figures cheaply). For the price point I'm predicting ($200 - $300), I'd stick with my Bandai SOC's. But this is just my opinion. Which is the true beauty of this hobby. There is always something for everybody.

I was digging the initial prototype pics, but The more pictures I see of this Dancouga, the more I'm not wanting it. I still think Bandai's SOC version is the best rendition.

With all these chest issues (and I've heard some complain their thighs were not properly glued together), I'm hesitant to but this figure. I was hoping that BBTS would be a safe bet, but tamujen proved that theory wrong. I guess this is a hit or miss deal.

Hi Lejam,
Any chance you can create a Dancouga avatar for me? Or a Transformers Soundwave?
Thank you so much
