How does it compare to the old fewture ex gokin Maz in diecast content and heft?
this is a comparison pic i did a while ago
for me the are about the same weight in hand without the scrander, keep in mind the scrander for CCS is the real deal, while Fewture is the regular jet scrander
like i said this is the best Zero you can buy, but its also nice to have the EX Gokin next to it

Just a detail. This is their second product. The first one is thunderbolt from the hardcore mecha game. Its great too
please correct me if im wrong the thunderbolt was unlicensed product right ? thats why i jump to GL
even with that i think thunderbolt is a decent figure

sorry to bring this old thread back but there is somethings i need to say about this figure
first, parts fall off this figure MORE than the EX Gokin Getter 1, lets see
1 the stupid jet (why they didnt put magnets on it) 2 the armor piece on the leg (around the feet) 3 try to adjust the head and it will pop off easily
4 the arm, yes the arm if you adjust it to do a pose it will fall, i think its more like a safety thing but still they could come with a better design than that
the joint system is not good enough, it looks so good like the metal build stuff and you can see it working but its weak, it should be ratchet joints system, you need to make sure every part is in the exact right place or the joints system wont support the robot and it will collapse
the paint is good but no protective coat, parts trade paint like boxers in the ring, the sword and stomach area have some paint chips
other than that the figure is very good looking but for the issues i mentioned i think it should be cheaper than this, i think its over priced yes, it should be around $150 no more
i really wonder what the heck happened to 5 Pro ? Astroganger had it limitation but its a really good figure, so why they made this figure this way ?
if you are eyeing their Voltron i recommend you wait for reviews and see how good the figure actually is, 5Pro will do a 2nd patch according to sites and special edition as well
and that was my community service lol

late to the party but better late than never lol
here is a very short review for this amazing figure
first its easily the best GL figure on the market today, the paint is jaw dropping and the magnets drill are amazing, also it can handle the huge drill no problems,
it made me want to watch GL all over again this is how good the figure is, the only thing i wish they did better is the face plates, they are challenging to change so i didnt do it i was afraid i was going to break something
also the articulation is not as good as Zero but hey not bad at all for a 1st product
something i gotta say im really impressed by CCS, they did GL and its the best GL in the market, they did Zero and its the best Zero in the market, so i cant wait for Shin Getter 1 or Great Mazinkaiser

Well also we must take into account that the soc voltron retail price was and still is 300usd... pose+ and action toys ask far more for theirs products. The pose+ godam is a wonderful piece but the retail price was arround 450usd and is not even a combiner (also I found pose+ releases to be pretty close to screen accuracy. godam, goshogun, gold lightan), the only one that go far from source material is their gaogaigar but I think it belongs to a different line. I love what pose+ is doing, and I really think their stuff worth their asking price, but also Im priced out there. i agree with you, i think Pose + prices are kinda reasonable expensive yes but reasonable for what we are getting
Gold Lightan was around 300 Baxinger was around 300 as well ? (not sure)
Goshogun was 340 Godam 320, but it have some DX style features like removable panel and awesome joints system so it worth it
and now Braiger is 320
GGG, i didnt watch it but i know the brave robots are busy and chunky, just like the super sentai stuff, also alot of of parts to work with and transform same with Baikanfu
most of us are on a tight budget so its a matter of what you want to get the most
Oh come on S. now…..I wouldn’t exactly call GX71 half baked. But You’re right about “Bandai R” though. White limbs, Narrower chest, longer thigh and neck, then add those leg cover and BOOM, Sell millions! Now where is my cut Bandai?
you are right my bad, the GX71 is not half baked but it need tiny stuff to make it better
i will add on what you mentioned an accurate black lion parts in robot mode, you know the Y shape wing and the removal of the front legs so the back could look cleaner and accurate

I call Bandai “Ban-dAZY “ for a reason. They could have added the cover as an accessory…. But At the time, I was Just too happy and glad just to have it but MY, lots changed since haha. To little old me, It def STILL IS one of if not THE best Chogokin EVER~! AND It def IS a golden ruler for ALL Gokin tobe judged by, BUT this ruler seems to get shorter and shorter every time the likes of Pose + and others release their Gokin…. The king can’t rule forever.
naaah you dont know a thing, Bandai will give you a half baked Voltron and they will milk it, then when you think you are done they will try to lure you with an R version, then boooom a new Voltron not even an R version but a complete new one
dont forget the SOC is about 4 years old, not that old but the technology jumped look at the GX88 for example
i think the competition will force Bandai to be more careful and rise the bar even more, there is still alot of super robot that need to be made, check my wish list that is still standing till today lol

Mannnnn, I didn't forget anything. lol I don't disagree with you that GX-71 is still the best Voltron in the market today. The Toynami one only thrived because it had zero competition as a so-called "Masterpiece" product, but was average at best. And to me, the SOC blows away any of the Icarus releases. What I said was I suspected Bandai possibly COULD HAVE designed and engineered GX-71 at a time prior to when it was actually released, and that it felt a bit outdated technology wise. And I could be completely wrong. That is just my theory. We will never know. If Pose+ did Voltron it would be just as expensive as 5Pro. You ain't getting a Pose+ Voltron for cheaper than the 5Pro version. Pose+ is expensive AF. Pose+ GaoGaiGar is gonna be $650ish and is only 10.25" tall. If Pose+ did a 15" Voltron, tell me how much you think it would cost.
i understand your point of view dont worry, all im saying is hiding some legs and making a figure bigger doesn't necessary mean better
let me put my nerd glasses on
as you see the there is no legs in the picture BUT there is these circles in the blue and yellow lions, the 5 Pro hide the legs yes but its not completely clean, you can see the circles everywhere AND the front legs for the blue and yellow lions, not to mention the sculpt is not as sharp or clean as the SOC just tiny side by side comparison to lions heads and you will see how got it right
there is only one accurate Voltron in the market and its the Mattel Blazing Sword Voltron thats it, it looks very childish yes but with Gundam marker you could bring it to life
back to pose +, i dont think it will be as expensive as 5 Pro, since Voltron is an easy combiner there isnt alot of anime magic going on even if they did make i dont think they will go crazy like 5 Pro and give it $700 as a price tag, maybe it will be around $450

I don't think any of the getter adaptations properly cover the comic horror aspect of the getter from the manga.
i agree with you, the manga is very brutal, same with with Marvel and DC comics
in general the Manga have much more gore than the anime

I always felt that the GX-71 design was already outdated by the time we all first received it back in 2017. I always suspected that Bandai Japan R&D already had the designs engineered years before they finally released it, but that it just wasn't green lighted until the licensing debacle was settled with WEP. It did not feel or look like a 2017 toy. It felt like it was 5 years behind even! While it was extremely cool to finally have an SOC version, nothing was "revolutionary" about the engineering in my opinion. GX-71 felt similar to the engineering standards and toy technology from the late GX-50's and early GX-60's of 2010-2011. (Ex: Daltanious, God Sigma, Daioja etc.) The irony is the Blitzway version is what I was originally envisioning the official SOC GX-71 to be. Taller, hidden lion legs gimmicks, mini pilots, the "rainbow" display stand, and a more elongated anime accurate aesthetic in Golion/Voltron mode (without the need for thigh upgrades), etc. In other words, I feel like GX-71 wasn't truly the Golion/Voltron we were all patiently waiting for. And if Blitzway's quality comes close to the SOC, we likely have a superior, albeit expensive, premium Golion chogokin that raises the bar for all serious Golion competitor products.
bro what are you talking about, this is the first time we dont agree on something lol
maybe you forgot but the SOC was and still the best Voltron in the market today, before the SOC we had nothing, Toynami was selling us the same thing for years just different names, the King of Beast gave us hope and it did it job, but when the SOC got released it took that spot in a heart beat
the SOC introduce something we never saw before which is a neck for the lions they cared about both the lions mode and the robot mode, also the lions were able to set like a real lions not to mention its dead accurate in lions modes, and its among the tallest SOCs , the GX50 is still a decent figure lack a bit in the articulation but still not bad for 11 years old figure
5pro Voltron hide "some legs" not all of them, look at the yellow and the blue lions front legs they are not covered due to the fact they support the robot weight, they could come up with the way to hide them, but this way it looks really odd, either hide them all or show them all, i guess its the same reason why Bandai didnt hide them in the first place, not to mention its overpriced (still in stock in most) stores you could buy both GX71 & GX88 for that asking price
looking at the GX88 you can get an idea what Bandai could do if they want to go full power on the GX71, for me personally it lack two things LEDs and white paint thats it
it would be really interesting to see what if Pose + did voltron, since they prove it time after time they know how to engineer stuff

After familiarizing myself with Getter I didn't like the ending of Armageddon a much anymore since it's relatively upbeat and doesn't delve into the core ideas of Getter, despite being darker than any other Getter animation.
yea Armageddon felt like it was made by DC LOL, it was very dark and the ending was more like a beginning
for me give anything mecha for our classic heroes and i will be happy to watch

The original author, Ken Ishikawa, died before finishing the manga so we have no one knows how it would have ended, but the producers consulted Go Nagai to help them give one to the anime.
yes i know, i think Go Nagai will give it a decent ending, Shin Getter Armageddon ending was good not wow not bad just good

This show is garbage! It just keeps building towards something with nothing really happening in the mean time. 3 hours of building up to something on the last episode simply doesn’t cut it if you ask me and I am assuming there’s gonna be a mayor twist in episode 10. The one positive thing out of this show is the black Shin Getter. I really hope they release it down the line. It’s a beast mecha that makes Arc look like a crap
come on man, if you dont like it simply say it you dont have to call it garbage
i didnt read the manga and like i said i dont care about Arc but the show is very enjoyable for me, the super robots show are slowly dying and this show came out of nowhere, i dont think the animation is bad, you want some awful CGI go and watch Berserk
alot of things happend so far, Ryoma son, where the heck is Ryoma and what happen to the other pilots, how come Go could pilot shin getter 1, Getter Dragon became a being alot of good things building up
i just hope the ending wont be as awful as voltron (the Netflix one)

SPOILERS
they showed a new black type of Shin Getter 1 it made Arc looks like Boss Borot, its so damn strong and bad a$$ remind me of SKL, its a different beast than your regular Shin Getter 1, i hope some one will do it so i can buy it with 1 eye closed ( i need the other eye to order lol)

But S., Imagine it was heavy AND cold! How awesome would that been…Don’t get me wrong. He IS a great great figure. Broke lots of ground. The “Lower leg hold test” is INSANE!! The price? ThreeZero level! Love the touch “screen” light, just only if he had it metal on OUTSIDE he’d been a REAL TOTY contender. Just “Damn, it was THEEEES close.” (I can’t believe you are so easy on this guy hahaha)
what do you mean im so easy on this guy lol
the figure is perfect i dont want anything to be changed with it, its not heavy but not light either perfect feeling in hands, and you know the Metal Build style robots, i dont complain,
even the squeaky shoulders, after i thought about they design it that way so the shoulders wont become loose with time, the giant iron cutters are no joke, + i wouldnt be able to pull this shot
so far its my TOTY by miles
