i'm just grateful to finally have her, and a pretty much ideal doll body for her such as the OBITSU.
i remember first finding out about her in the late 90's, -when comic shops were my ONLY outlet for Anime goods, and a very occasional one at that- and saw the red dress version of her available in the monthly "PREVIEWS" national U.S. comic shop catalog for like right around $200USD!! i can't even imagine paying that much for her back then, awful TAKARA doll body and all, and no real alternatives in which to perfect her like i have available to me today. i really did luck out, paying like $85shipped for her from an HK EBAY seller. this guy's was seemingly the only source of the blue version currently available, one other fellow EBAY seller, also of HK origin, having the red version available for like $155shipped, and even a seller of the far more recent VOLKS Super Dollfie version for an absolutely out-of-the-question $2040shipped!!!
yes, this is definitely the very best Bell-chan i could ever realistically hope to have, and i think i'm quite satisfied...

she showed up late yesterday (1/2/15) and i've only recently had time to mess with her. that lovely hair is a PAIN to work with! first things first; get her over to a decent doll body such as the OBITSU i had for her, complete with undies. that wonky stock TAKARA body she arrived with simply will not do!! there are all manner of gold-plated metal hoop rings meant to be attached to her outfit, a pair of hoop earrings, and a fairly hefty solid die-cast gold plated choker/necklace thing. lots and lots of gaudy little plated metal accoutrements to finish her outfit up with before i can dress her back up with it all, and a somewhat unclear series of instructions on how to do it all, tucked into the inner packaging. she definitely is not a "plug and play" doll, i even had take some X-ACTO surgery to the base of her skull to make it more natural looking around where it meets the neck. she's looking as sweet and lovely now as Bell-chan should, but it sure took a bit of somewhat scary work to get her there, to my personal impossible-to-please standards, anyway. facially, she's certainly the most accurate three-dimensional depiction of a KOSUKE FUJISHIMA character i've ever had the pleasure of owning, her darling little face really conveys the Fujishima look surprisingly well, IMHO...

((12/25/14)) i've a Goddess coming home for Christmas; (though a bit late, as she will arrive from Malaysia early/mid JAN.) Belldandy, of Ah My Goddess! fame. there were blue and red versions available, i chose the blue. being a late-90's TAKARA/YELLOW SUBMARINE product, her body, of course, will be the quite dismal (IMHO) TAKARA JENNY design of the time, so an OBITSU BODY replacement will immediately be in order;

well, i knew... JUST KNEW there was SOMETHING off about these dolls that kept on bugging me, but i just couldn't quite finger it... until just a couple days ago. indeed, i found myself ending up as Dr. FRANKENSTEIN, completely dismantling the dolls' bodies, and finding that they were improperly assembled at the factory, little wonder they felt all askew to me! further, in the end, i found myself sacrificing my Akari Kamigishi (red-haired girl) to give both my HMX-12 Multi (green-hair) and Shaorin Shichiri (lavender hair) much, much better physical proportions, and double-jointed elbows, which Shaorin lacked, which allows her a much better range of feminine poses. these two look great together now, IMHO, and since the EBAY seller i got the two ToHeart dolls from still has stock available, i think i'll get myself another Akari Kamigishi, (red-hair) tweak her the same way, and call it a day and be satisfied. then again, i might just leave these two by themselves, they work so well now as a set, IMO... (( Akari Kamigishi (ToHeart) ))

my own custom ex-TF JETFIRE. the first 1/55 VF-1, and the very first transforming VF-1 toy i ever laid hands on. i traded my entire GI-JOE collection for it back around 2000 or so. GOD if i wasn't ecstatic to finally have one, too;

early-2000's era 12-ep. Anime series by the name of "Please Teacher" actually... funny i just -now- noticed... the one thing the figure sculptor left off from the animation model was the Earrings!!! - it appears she's rather disturbed by that little oversight herself. frankly i don't really blame her... (( technically, i should be complaining about the figures' lack of Bridal Veil as well... - but i can kind of understand why an inexperienced company (at the time) like YAMATO had opted not to attempt to replicate such a detail on a 1/8 static figure such as this ))

i've wanted this figure for a long time, and finally came to the point where i actually found a copy at a price i was comfortable with, and at a time when i actually had the money to spend; well, it so turned out that i found myself unsatisfied with the sloppy (IMO) lip job on this figure, so i did something about it; -ORIGINAL- -MY REPAINT- also, i was dissatisfied with the sparse paint job of the hip band lace on her panties, as well as the nonexistent edge paintwork of her garter belt straps, so i took care of that too; finally, for everyone's FYI, there are three color variations of this figure. for my part, i only have ever been truly interested in owning the standard bridal white, so i am definitely good to go with what i've got...
