Geez. From what I saw from Odean's review of the guy, SoC Ideon is one of the biggest SoCs to date. I think either Ideon or Iron Gear is the largest in height. GaoGaiGar might be the largest in mass. Although Ideon still may beat it for weight. (Actually I lie Dancouga is technically the tallest, if the cannons are pointed vertically. But the body of the robot is smaller than the others listed.) Ideon is about 13". if you have ever seen the Toynami Masterpiece Voltron or the MM Vehicle Voltron Ideon is around that size. I simply cannot imagine Daizyujin being THAT tall especially when compared to SoC Voltron.

I know this may be asking for much without measuring tools and the like but can anyone either confirm or estimate the size of what this SoC will be as Daizyujin? Going by the pic with the guy in the background I'm going to say at least Ideon size. Geez. From what I saw from Odean's review of the guy, SoC Ideon is one of the biggest SoCs to date.

Really thrilled that SoC is alive and kicking. Megazord is a great addition and with that, I can see lots of other sentai bots coming. Although it's too early to tell, it looks like it will be transforming into one huge robot. I do hope they keep the scale in line with the other Socs. And not sure if it's just me, the colours used on these animals make it look real plasticky. Dino also looks out of whack with limbs that seem too long. All that said, I can't wait for "Battle Mode"! I'm pretty sure SoC wont disappoint on the full picture! Not much we can do as Daizuijin himself looks more toy-like than say some of the older Soul of Chogokin releases added with the relative simplicity in transformation.

While I do agree that many fans may want just the Dragonzord, it may help to put some space in between these Power Ranger releases as Power Ranger Fans are most fickle when it comes to price compared to other old school collectors. Seriously, look at the mess that is Rangerboard whenever a new Legacy Power Rangers item is revealed. That's completely justified though, cause those Legacy Megazords are hilariously overpriced for what they are. I'd be mad too if I was asked to pay 200 dollars for a modern high-end toy that has the same engineering as something I could have bought in the early 90s. Well funny enough one of the admins is skipping the SoC because it is too expensive despite what the SoC provides in terms of quality and because no Zord Builder. Not crapping on the guy, but I think that is funny. Is it not?

Now now now. Can't we wait a year before we get to more Power Ranger releases? We do not want to burn out like we did Gaogaigar. Gaogaigar wasn't a victim of burning out. GGG was a victim of nobody really giving a sh*t about Goldymarg, including the toy designers. Besides, I'm pretty sure Dragonzord has more mass market appeal than Goldy ever did. I think the issue with Goldymarg is that he was never the main attraction and was more of an add-on that had his own main line release. Plus physics worked against him for Goldion Hammer Mode. Plus there was the Bandai Premium Star Gaogaigar set that really kinda help to further brick Gaogaigar with the massive amount of weight it adds to where a stand was all but necessary.

Can I pick none of the above and instead pick Dragonzord? Now now now. Can't we wait a year before we get to more Power Ranger releases? We do not want to burn out like we did Gaogaigar.

Yeah. I can see the need for Dairugger as I know a few reviewers who would love a definitive high-end release of Dairugger. I am mainly mentioning my go-to Soul of Chogokin reviewer outside of Rocket Punch Army, Odean.
And of course Bismark was used for WEP's Saber Rider, I think.

I just catched the news (vacation slow mode)... I have no word, except "why"? Haha too old to like this robot I would rather have a soc Bioman + Biodragon... So far... Well I think this guy much like SoC Go-Lion was made with seemingly the US or the Western market more in mind. But the idea of updated Pre-Zyuranger series is always up for grabs in the future. Would love a Jet Icarus.

why is the Triceratops has no legs? Because that was the original design. He had little feet with tank treads behind them.

awesome thats give a chance for other Megazords i guess, is it me or this thing is very huge also i want every one who said Bandai wont make this to raise their hands so i can quote them all and say IN YOUR FACE LOL To be fair, those comments were made before the announcement of SoC Voltron who people thought was impossible because of licensing and not much popularity in the East. And even then, most fans thought they were okay with their Legacy Megazords. Boy were they wrong. SO. VERY. WRONG.

Speaking of what Soul of Chogokin Bandai can do for the international market......Bandai just announced a Soul of Chogokin Daizuijin/Megazord.
Yeah, the OG Megazord is getting a Soul of Chogokin release.

bandai. I totally forgive you for not hiding the lions legs on voltron and for yet another mazinger. this makes up for everything. love, jay. I know how awesome this feels. We have two nearly impossible releases happening one after another. I can wait on another SoC Brave release with this guy on my Most Wanted List.

Kinda surprised Bandai hasn't done the vintage comparison thing for their marketing. If I wasn't already sold, it would have tipped me over in no time. Imagine having Godaikin SoCs being compared and contrasted with their old Popy releases. God Sigma, Godmars, Dancouga, Daltanius and so on.

Well it is a good thing here that more people here on this board are concerned about the new SoC Voltron moreso than this new Mazinger.
Especially after the titan that was the DX SoC Great Mazinger.

Well diecast content isn't cheap. And then you have Toynami having the audacity to sell us their EX Voltron for $400 and no diecast period. So yeah, $300 for an SoC is not too out there. Especially for combining robots. Oh I get that. That's why its rarely used anymore. My issue is that Toynami kept releasing the same mold with little to no changes. And still had the shoulder problems. Though I think WEP is just as much to blame here. Toynami can't re-release it without their consent. They will burn out their fans eventually. Yeah well before news of the SoC,Toynami had their EX Voltron ready to go so whether or not that version fixes the issues with Toynami is mostly irrelevant when Bandai Tamashii has a longer and better track record and does have all the bells and whistles of the vintage toy with some sensibilities in modern engineering and as close to anime accuracy than what was given beforehand.

I'm not surprised. WEP has been releasing the same thing over and over again for the last 30+ years. Whether its with Toynami, Mattel or even Bandai now. The fact that these are releasing virtually the same thing again and with a $200-300 price is going to burn the fanbase out. Well diecast content isn't cheap. And then you have Toynami having the audacity to sell us their EX Voltron for $400 and no diecast period. So yeah, $300 for an SoC is not too out there. Especially for combining robots.

learn something new everyday on this board lol. Well there is a good possibility that I could be wrong. So there's that. Though a Mad Toys rendition of Vehicle Voltron still sounds tempting.

the vehicle voltrron was a different company. miracle i think? I heard in some reviews Miracle Toys got bought out by Mad Toys or something like that. Like new production staff or something.
