These figures are beautiful. But, for me QC is an issue. I read on another thread that... I think it was their Hulk Buster... was poorly reviewed and had serious issues. The arm kept falling off at the shoulder or something. I'm weary of a co. that's never produced Chogokin before - especially something this ambitious - with armor and damaged parts and all.

Thank bro, saw they changed the instock status, hope it will be smooth. I paid in full back in February and I still haven't received mine. I already received the Japan version from Amiami. Wanted a second one to display in individual zord modes. It looks like they are waiting for a restock. In the future I'll probably just return to Bigbadtoystore instead of trying to save a couple bucks. Good idea. The BBTS doesn't mess around.

Does anyone know if you get the manufacturer's outer box when you buy a DX figure? I was watching unboxing videos on DX Mazinger and DX Great Mazinger and it seems some people had their DX figure shipped in the original manufacturer's outer box (a decent few from the videos I was able to view). Can anyone from their previous DX purchases say whether or not their DX purchase is shipped/received in the manufacturer's box or is it repacked into another box (and which online retailers do this - HLJ, amiami, 1999, nippon-yasan, anime-export, etc). Cheers. MY DX Great Mazinger box came in the original Bandai shipping crate. Then, the BBTS put in another HUGE box when they mailed it - it was so big my 8 year old turned it into a fort and played in it all weekend!

Great review Coletron, very helpful! Been trying to find a good English review of this Boss. I went ahead and purchased the SoC version instead but really like the look of the dynamite action and that torso shooter! Glad you like it, Buddy!

Here's a pic of my GX-72. I hope you guys enjoy it! I just started posting to Instagram a couple weeks ago. To anybody who is on there, and not already following me, "Check it out!". I'll only be posting SR pics - no borng family. I promise all killer and no filler. Since I'm new, I'm definitely looking for robot fans to follow. Take a look: Instagram robots_are_art

YES! now we are talking thanks guys both the Sabertooth and Triceratops gave me a hard time to move that joint, i tired to move it earlier but it was very tight i thought i might break it, but all went well, i just finished the photoshot the figure is good but not as good as Golion however like i said before best combining Daizujin you can buy, and the SRC is the best non combining version oh by the way i posted a photo on my Instagram of the GX-72 box and guess who gave it a like ? Steve Cardenas who played the red power ranger the red ninja ranger and the blue zeo ranger how awesome is that Hell yeah!

I welcome all Power Rangers fans! Who has higher standards than the members of this board? As long as Bandai keeps the quality level this high, everyone will be happy. I hope so but I've already seen pr fans complain they're not interested in the SOC for minor things like head size is not big enough, or that it doesn't articulate exactly as the src for instance. This boggles my mind because not only is SOC highly posable it does things the src can't do. I guess there's all kind of perspectives out there but to put petty reasons for not getting this ultimate Daizyujin is baffling. I can see economic reasons being a huge block, but I've seen some very dumb excuses out there to justify passing this definitive tribute. Any serious Power Rangers fan who can afford this will get it. The fans who complain about articulation - how do they feel about the Legacy line? Do collectors who don't like the headsize prefer the SRC? I argue that this chunky bodystyle offers more anime accuracy. You're right; they're making excuses. My 8 year old has the Legacy and SRC as playthings in his room. He likes them. But even a little kid knows the GX-72 is special.

Coltron props for calling the Sabertooth a cat not a tiger lol. Biologically they weren't even closely related to tigers. And I want second your point regarding the Daizyujin being a new standard for pr fans. We haven't seen a megazord like this and should the SOC decide to produce more pr related items, they will find a receptive market. Then again pr fans can be extremely petty so it might be a headache dealing with them. I welcome all Power Rangers fans! Who has higher standards than the members of this board? As long as Bandai keeps the quality level this high, everyone will be happy.

hello guys, i FINALLY got mine, and the box is really huge, i thought it will be smaller because there isn't much inside it first thoughts they didnt gave it half the love they gave Golion, but still its the best Daizujin you can get i have couple of questions first, mine cant stand right what im doing wrong ? second, the joint is very stiff and i dont want to break anything, so whats the safest way to bend the knees ? S_Gokin - A few pointers on the legs: The knee has 2 joints - 1 that the metal connector on the Tyranozord plugs into (this has limited range of motion), and a second one that allows a deeper bend. On mine, the joints were a little stiff at first. But they became pliable quickly. They don't seem particularly fragile - in fact they are quite sturdy. I don't think you'll have a problem if you slowly break them in. For Daiziujin to stand, make sure the pegs are inserted all the way. I may sound like Mr. Obvious here. But, at first my Saber Tooth Cat went in with ease. The Triceritops took a little effort. I didn't realize that it wasn't completely in initially. It took an extra push. The upper leg slides in and out where it attaches to the hip. To get a straight A-Frame stance push outward from the top of the inner thigh. Hopefully that helps you strike some killer poses for your photo shoot. I can't wait to see what you come up with! I got to spend a little time with the GX-72 last night. It's really excellent. Comparisons to Voltron are inevitable - they've been happening in the US since Power Rangers season 1. The original GoLion/Voltron is Bandai's biggest selling gokin of all time. To me, it's design is a magical thing of wonder. That shouldn't take away from Daiziujin. S_Gokin is right. This is the best Megazord by a landslide. My Son has the Legacy, and the GX-72 is 1000% better on all levels. I'm sure everyone here who has ever bought a SOC knows this. But, in person the comparison is completely stark. The GX-72 is so far beyond anything Power Rangers fans have ever seen. That's exciting - because to them, THIS robot is a magical thing of wonder. This will blow them away and leave them wanting more. This is a great release from Bandai, and a smart way to increase their American fanbase. And as someone who is already on board, I can't wait for more SOC Power Rangers/Super Sentai releases.

Chance of a SOC is not low. GL is a popular show and bot design. However, I don't think a SOC can replace Sentinel's GL per se, due to its unique style and joint articulations. I would say its still worth it if you can get it around the $150 ballpark, seeing similar Tamashii Web Exclusives figures can cost as much. Its a great piece. Thanks. I appreciate your response. It's on Amazon for around $180. It really is beautiful, and I've paid that much for Evolution toys. I'll add it to the list.

it's absolutely beautiful Yes. No. As great as it is, it's difficult to recommend it at more than twice the original retail price. There's a few for $180-$200 (new with free shipping) on the Amazon.com Marketplace. That's a bit more reasonable and you may find a better deal if you're patient. Of course, if Sentinel ends up finally releasing Lazengann, they're likely to re-release Gurren Lagann as well to go with it. Or they may never do. Who knows. Thanks for the input and the tip. I hadn't thought to check Amazon. I'll keep an eye out. What do you guys think the chances of an SOC release are?

I just added this guy to my collection. So happy to have him. I'm considering this figure because it's absolutely beautiful and the members of RJ love it. But, boy... $250 is a lot for a small plastic robot. Do you feel it's worth it?
