It'd probably be as large as the VF-0S @ 1/60 , I'm kind of not too enthusiastic about this but would likely get it.
Now I'm thinking that yamato decided on modifying it existing VF-0S molds of accomodate the YF-19 rather than issuing further VF-0S s .
I personally would've preferred another 1/72 version with armored fast pack to complete the macross plus 1/72 line of armored and non-armored offerings

Cool!
I think Yamato is being a little more consistent with it's 1/60 line.
1/72 YF-19 1/72 YF-21 (also released with armor) 1/72 VF-11B (also released with armor)
1/60 VF-1 1/60 Queadluun Rau 1/60 VF-0 1/60 YF-19
1/48 VF-1
I bet some 1/60 VF-1 collectors are kicking themselves because they sold off their 1/60 VF-1's in favor of the 1/48's. If the 1/60 VF-0 and 1/60 YF-19 are successful, we're looking at all 1/60 scale Macross Valkyrie releases in the future, which can include enemy mechs in the same scale.
Sweet!

Ohhhh SNAP! Man I've been wanting to get my hands on a YF-19, but that $300+ price tag on the 1/72 version was just too steep for my piggy bank. Better yet, the 1/60 one should have even more detail. Shame it won't have any diecast though, but I'm still getting it. ;D Up next, YF-21?

Hmm...this worries me...I'd like to be consistent (in height) since I just got my first 1/48 But the 1/60 VF-0 appears to be almost same height with the 1/48. If this YF-19 has the same height, then it's quite ok I guess...or is it

Wow. A 1/60 YF-19. I'm looking forward to this one even though I already have the 1/72 version. Like others, I am concerned about the rising prices for Yamato's products.
Now waiting for the valk from Macross II. I only have the model of this one.

Keep in mind that the VF-0 and Mac Plus Valks are considerably larger than the VF-1. That would explain why the VF-0 is about the same size as a 1/48, and same will be true with the 1/60 YF-19 when it comes out.

This really sucks for a guy like me who has NO VF-1 @ 1/60 all I have in that scale is the VF-0S & Qua & the matchbox zentreadis....everything else is either 1/48 or 1/72 and to think that if this release is successful they'll be coming out with the YF-21 & VF-11B in 1/60 .........

I'm betting my left nut that the 1/60 scale YF-9 will be a huge success. Fans have been gnawing on Yamato's @ss for the 1/72 FP version for a year or two already, but it was never realized. Now, they are getting a bigger, and I am guessing a far far far better version of the YF-19. The 11B and the 21 are not far behind by my estimates.

SPD, Yamato has always used plastics on their large scale Macross toys. Diecast was only used on essential areas like the swingbar and hip bar. Me thinks this is the best compromise for such a big toy. Slightly complicated transformation, with zinc in essential areas only means less or even zero unsightly paint chipping and scratches. Give it a chance.

I cannot wait, I've always been hoping they would make the bigger versions of those things. Hope they do the Super Ostrich, Elintseeker, etc., etc............

Buying 1/48's is good.
The way I see it, Yamato is not actually going for 'same scale' toys, rather they're going for same "size" toys.
Personally, I'd like them to do the Macross Valks in the same scale (all in 1/48), but it's not practical, both SPACE and MONEY wise.
