Just wanted to quickly point out that Faiz (the first one anyway) had die-cast feet. They have detail on the soles as shown when he does his version of Rider Kick in the show.
btw - I also have the problem mpchi describes with my Ryuki - he can't hold his Sword-Advent for more than a few seconds before his wrist is pulled down.

I have problems with my SIC Knight - Joints quickly became loose after too many alternate costum switching. Also have annoying problem with Zolda (he's one of my fave), it seems that the top is too heavy, sometimes the torso just snaps with little provocation. The Tiger had no problems, but the wrist joint quickly got loose due to the heavy axe.

WOW!!! The new Rider The First set is simply just.....WOW!!! Just opened mind, freshly delivered from HLJ. No diecast content whatsoever, and no gimmick like the movable jaw we usually see in SIC Riders either. Guess Bandai can get away with this because its Movie Realization line, not exactly SIC. But in terms of build quality and articulation structure design, this is definitely the best of the best. It has far more joints than any of the previous SIC, with a lot of new double joints implemented. Shoulder, elbow, waist, hip, knee, neck all double jointed, even triple jointed in some case LOL ;D. Even the lower arm has an extra swivel at the glove line. Joints are more sturdy than previous SIC, especailly with nice sturdy ankles, which usually is the weak spot for most SIC. Though I can still see some joints being loose over time with a lot of posing. In terms of look, the pics speak for itself. Both Rider No.1 & 2 look mighty cool, and blew the SIC Rider No.1 (Vol.14)'s proportion away. I still love the sculpt of the older non poseable Rider No.1 & 2 though, with a very classic feel that Vol.14 seems to have lost to compensate the articulation. But these new ones are just gorgeous. For those of you that are testing the water on the SIC line, or collectors that wonder how good this particular set is. Go get them NOW! If you are into build quality & sculpt rather than the little diecast that SIC has to offer, this set definitely ranks on the very top. And one of the very few SIC sets that I don't need to whip out my super glue to fix a peg or a loose ball joint right off the bat. Just kind of funny that Bandai insist to call this Movie Realization rather than SIC, when even the packaging looks totally SIC. Got to be the diecast content, that Bandai want to go cheap on. LOL ;D Here is some cool pics from our beloved Japanese Reviewer guy. Regardless how critical he can be at times, he rated this set as 'Top Class Satisfaction' among recent Bandai toy releases. pony-hp2.web.infoseek.co.jp/MR-FIRST.htm

RRRRRRRGH... just emailed HLJ. On my orders page, it's still showing "future restock," but on the product description, it's saying "discontinued." I'll go through eBay if I have to, but... DAMMIT! HLJ! DON'T SCREW ME OUT OF MY RIDERS!
That set looks beyond awesome, and I really want to get my hands on some. NOW.
Jeez, between this and finding out the Wilco concert I was going to go to next month is sold out, I'm not having a very lucky week...

Man, looks like you still have a lot of room for additiona SICs. On the contrary, mine is very packed, and almost hitting its limit. And the older Kikaiders & old school Riders are very cool too. Just lose on the poseability, but definitely not on the sculpt & details when compared to the newer ones.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting the Movie Realizations of KR: The First if I can find them for a reasonable price, and I've got the Hibiki SIC ordered for when HLJ restocks them. I'm keeping plenty of room open on those shelves for a reason. Getting the older figures would be nice, but I also don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg for them...

Ayakoholic, be careful with eBay, I have two bootlegs of the KR:The First. I go them for about $30 shipped. The box looks identical to the genuine product. I have a genuine set from KHM and you can't really tell the difference until you have it in your hands. Teh box is copied very well with the hologram sticker and all. The dead give away, other than it falls apart as soon as you remove it from the box. Also the joints will be super tight and will break with little force. That's why I have two, one broke and the seller sent me another one, I was care this time around. I display the boolegged one and I am keeping the genuine one in the box. Another give away are the antennae. On the authentic one they are etched with lines, the boots only have a plain plastic thingy. Look also at the scarf. Bandai molded the scarves from a solid piece of plastic in color;red. The knock off, is molded in green and painted. The peg that connects the scarf to the neck will be green on the bootleg.

Aw, dammit-- mine *are* the bootlegs. I hadn't really noticed-- I had a shoulder joint break on one, but that was after a shelf dive. I didn't think the leg joints were as tight as my regular SICs, but other than that, I have to say, they're damn good for bootlegs.
I guess it's time to comb YJ for a set of the real thing...

Yeah, I broke the shoulder joint off the first bootlegs as well, I glued it back together so it is static now. But the waist constantly falls apart, so does the ankles and forearms. The knees and elbows will be specially loose and there are obvious flaws in teh heads specially with #1.

I've not got any of the SIC figures yet but I have been considering it. Any chance someone can post a comparison pic with the bootlegs so we know what to look out for?
Are there any other figures out there with known bootleg versions?

I think I probably got a bootleg Accel Faiz, considering it's supposed to be a limited/exclusive, I only ended up paying about $30 for it, and the joints were on the loose side. Other than that and the Movie Realization figures for The First, I've never actually heard of any bootleg SICs.
If you go through a reputable seller like HLJ or BBTS, you shouldn't need to worry about bootlegs. You're pretty much safe as long as you're not buying something off eBay from a seller with prices that seem too good to be true.
