i feel really sad! today(thursday)is 3weeks sincei won an auction for an sg-01 godaikin on ebay.i bought it from an italian seller with good reputation, very friendly, send me better photos! i know i could get it cheaper but i have had many troubles with customs in the past and i said enough so i decided to buy from european seller so i can get the item in a few days and with no troubles! especially since this is very expensive i would not want to have to wait about 2 months and pay loads of taxes! now 3 weeks have passed and i still have nothing. i paid promptly then there was the weekend. a few days passes and he said he got sick but he would sent it next saturday. no problem! last week passed and nothing and i thought it was strange since it would only take about 3 days to get here. i asked if he really sent it with fast shipping and he answered he even couldsend me the receipt and to wait a bit more. ok no problem! now this week is almost gone and nothing. on tuesday i ask him to give me the tracking number to see where it is! he said for me to be calm that he was on work and would send it that night. he also said that italian post office are very slow and the he even has a toy from hk in italian customs for about 3weeks. but inside european union space there are no customs thats why i bought from him the first place. but ok i will wait for the tracking number. but he still didnt send me anything. i have beem emailing him but he hasnt replied. i feel really bad. i feel like i am in a nightmare! i know it may not be his fault but he could just send me the tracking number or something! this is really hard! so much sacrifice to get one and now this happens! and the only ones i can talk about this are you guys. i dont tell my girlfriend or parents or friends how much toys really cost. so they cant understand how this feels!

Boy, that's a tough one, joydivision. You have my sympathy. That's what I hate about on-line dealing; there is no-one to complain to in person if the deal goes sour. Let's just hope the SG01 is waiting impatiently in some Italian post office while the bureaucrats are drinking coffee, and farting around. I hope this turns out OK.

I understand your plight but I wouldn't give up just yet. I have dealt with Italian postal service quite a lot and it is easily the most inconsistent in Europe. I've sent packages to Italy and they have arrived a month late and almost as bad the other way round. If it's fully insured then still no problem. However If the seller stops contacting you and does a bunk then contact your credit card company and declare the transaction as fraudulent.

I know how can you feel man... our post offices in Italy are the worst in the world..... about 3 months ago police arrested many people that gone locking in the post office bathroom with some postal product inside their jacket and opened them robbing inside letters and other postal product.....
when I saw them I have gone out of my head...... they are so fu**in filthy....
Hope you will receive your toy soon... cause the seller (I think the ID is "piritica", that's correct?) it seems to be a honest one. I asked him to let me see the toy before bid cause he lives in my city in Italy. He told me that he hadn't time because of working and also because other persons ask him the same thing. So he told me that if I won the auction I could take the toy personally paying cash at the moment.
I will take fingers crossed for you man!

it was not piritica! it was *masters*of*the*universe*! he sent me a mail today with a photo of the receipt. it has the stamp of post office there but i can´t see the date well. but on the receipt appeared he had sent it by quickpack europe(5 working days) and it seems it doesn´t have online tracking. and i had told him i want it by ems where i can track online and see clearly where and how it is. but since i cannot track it i can´t see where it is or when it was shipped. and the bad news is that it isn´t fully insured. i am losing all hope...

i payed by paypal. when he gave me the receipt and tracking number and i couldn´t find the object online i and it should appear! he finally started to reply more quickly and said he would go see what happened. yesterday he replied: it still was on his local post office because he had make insurance but didn´t write the value so the postoffice was trying to phone him but since he was at work nobody answered. so he solved it with the post office and now it was ok. i have checked the tracking number now and it appears now saying the package has left italy. i feel better now but until i get it in a few days i am not reassured. because the truth is this: last friday made 3 weeks since i paid him and the package will probably arrive to me around next thursday or friday. thus making almost a month. ( the time limit to make a paypal claim is about 30 days is it?) i think the seller is trustable and it wasn´t his fault but nevertheless he should reply to people´s emails nad give more atention when they are worried and have reasons to be especially when it is expensive toys and not wait until the last moment.atl east that is how i would do. i understand he maybe busy but he toke too much time.

If I were you, I would still file a claim inside of the time limit, just in case you package does not show before the time is up. If it does come, you can always contact paypal again regarding your complaint and let them know that your problem has been solved, and they will drop the claim.

File for fraud NOW..... rescend the complaint later if he truly delivers the toy. Take NO chances here. I've had a similar experience -your refund can't be made after a deadline. Ed

i got it today!!!! what a relief! almost four weeks of torture! but finally it is here and it is great! i think the seller was just stalling because he didn´t have it! maybe because he bought from yj! and it maybe toke more time to get it than he had planned. on the post office receipt in the box it said 9/12/05 10:00! and on that evening he said he even said he didn´t know how it was. he says one thing but the facts say otherwise. he even overcharged shipping! i paid 45 the receipt says 25. i will ask for a refund. if he wanted more money for packing material he could have said but 20 euros for packing! and yesterday he mails me saying he wants me to confirm to ebay we both quit the deal so he doesnt have to pay a 50 euro fee. and now he wants me to reply to him quickly(he should have thought of it when i was desperate asking for his help and i even always said please because i am polite). i won´t do it becase this is being too smartass to me! what do you guys think? i think i should give him negative feedback. i will say i got the item but bad comunication, 4 weeks to deliver (and shipping overcharge if i dont have a refund for the extra i paid)!

I am italian and have to disagree with postal quality as it's been reported. A EMS from Italy to Europe is guaranteed to arrive in 3 working days at max. If it arrives even one day later the difference between EMS and normal airmail charges is refunded from the post office. All EMS shipments are trackable online. If the seller has used something cheaper (some products have 60 working days guaranteed delivery time!), it's only his fault. It's all here (page 28-42): www.poste.it/azienda/cartaqualita/cartaqualita.pdf
