Good Balanced Review.
I like the joint articulation especially the ab joint.
Your light source is good it's just figure colors are really bland and dull to begin with.
I like how the razor blades easily falls off. Will there be a revised version?

yeah its good.. One of the moderators is going to post some photos saying that what Hlpro said isn't true about what Dynamic Planning said bbut don't worry guys.. the horn goes forward according to Dynamic but either is acceptable.. HLpro has photos to prove either
some guys walk around with permanent Pocket Protectors in place.. a sign of Aspergers. ha and guys who work for other companies.

Overall, looks like an awesome figure. HLPro can def include "manga head" or "Toei head" on manga colored version Gin Gin then. On retrospect, maybe HLPro shoulda made the middle horn on a ball joint so we can position it ourselves....Just a constructive observation.
BUT GS, I, along with other bros here really thankful and commend HLPro for bringing baddies to the market and I hope they continue to fill that serious need. Please do relay that message to HLPro for me.

Well, seems like the proof is in the pudding... the horn should be pointing to the back of the head. I wonder if it will be possible to twist that horn around. I doubt it will, so the only other option is to cut it off and attach it back in the position it should be. Maybe I can cast the head and do that on the replica instead... }D

before you do anything drastic like cut that horn off.. let HLpro have a chance to state its case in the direction of the horn. They told me that it wasn't really important bc it was pictured both ways depending on the drawing and who drew it. and that the figure looked better with it forward... and that it matched the helmet on the pilot.. the pilot even has the same short shirtsleeves.. on the pilot it goes forward
from all we know. HLpro KNOWS Go Nagai.. maybe we can ask him which way it goes.. I bet he will say "who cares?" haha

I will get this even though the center horn look like ice cream cone facing wrong way.
I always need villains in my collection.

yup ... should be backwards ! but overall I am very happy that we are getting the badies from grendizer they are unique looking and the designs were great ! I am actually dreaming of the next ufo monster they might do ! maybe zera zera or Hubi Hubi !! that would be awsome!! and againg I have to thank you Gettershadow for taking the time and effort to make this video !! yesterday I was all over youtube for such a review!! as for the horn !! I think we should assign The mazingers or actarus to make us the head and we pay for it if enough people here wants it!! it is better than cutting it or twisting it !! we will have then two versions (HL pro VER. and anime Robot japan execlusive ver.)

ok that makes more sense.. the figure is f**king fantastic. The movement is very fluid and surprisingly expressive for the type of articulation it has.. the articulation is "stealth" but its more effective than it looks.. it was very cleaver how they did it.. youll see when you get it, I just wish the saw blades weren't so touchy and the wrists on the grasping hands had a tad more movement in them.. the fists are fine though.

by the way ! the dynamic planing is actualy the name of go nagai studio and even though toei did the production but the designs back then were supported or approved by dynamic planing Go nagai will never remember which way he created that horn facing to!! he created hundreds of charecters starting from early 70 and he is still working !! so really the proof is GIN GIN which we loved and watched as kids !! not what was on a sheet of paper in an old folder some where at Dynamic!! it is the show that hooked us with GIN GIN and Captain Gormen who don't have that horn in his helmet!

HLpro knows about this conversation and is quite amused.. from there point of view, position of the horn is optional but supposed to be forward.
I don't think they expected this, they are pretty irritated about it.. It wouldn't surprise me if later on, a "bonus head" came out... but don't hold me to that.. just my thinking.
They assure you that its "authentic" either way.. and they liked it going forward (the way they say it was intended)

The WORLD PREMIER of the totally authentic and acceptable forward horn Gin Gin (the way it was intended).. thank you ladies and gentlemen

Im personally not feeling this Gin Gin. The design just doesnt sit right with me. I guess I'll just keep the one I have and hopefully one day Bandai will produce their own version of Gin Gin.

man that would be awsome if they later included an anime accurate head ! then we collectors don't have to fix anything ! then this conversation will lead to something good! the point is we watched the anime and we loved it .. so the anime what counts at the end of the day ! not what some company intended to do almost 38 years later!! but kudos for HL pro for bringing this nice figure and please keep them comming ! we want more and that horn thing is not a deal breaker by all means

look, if it means that much to you guys, that head and horns are so soft, that you probably COULD just stick a hard wire up through the bottom of the head and it would hold that horn in any position you would want from the INSIDE. its almost like that "Gumby" material..
all the "picky" stuff aside, its a REAL GOOD figure.. I was surprised how much range of motion he has..
WAIT A MIN, WAIT A MINUITE .. you can just PUSH that horn back!.. I think with heat and cold water it would stay.. its pretty flexible.. I don't think its gonna be a problem for you guys want it to go back..

Anime is what counts in my book. I could really care less about what anything said regarding these Super Robots. It is what I saw on TV that counts. Back to the head/horn issue, I can cast the head fairly easily, but painting it is a different story. My eyes are not the same they used to be, and I can barely focus on anything closer than a foot away from me. This makes it almost impossible for me to do a decent job with tiny details, like the eyes and other small features on the head. }D
