haha knock it off Dammage , Im not talking directly to you anyway.. Im talking to the group in general... and don't read some kind of "tone" into what I write, you don't know me to read anything into what my "tone" is anyway.. Im having a good time.. Im not on here picking fights about Japanese Robots, its a lively conversation that's all..
hell yeah shooting is expansive.. 7.62x39 has gone through the roof!!.. even 22Lr has skyrocketed. They are charging big money for stuff that was junk just a few years back too.. I cant believe they are charging 700 for a Saiga. 8 years ago I wouldn't have touched a Saiga , nowadays Id feel lucky to own one.
HLpro said that Gin Gin is basically gonna be sold out in the US over the next couple of days.. it sold faster than they had expected... and if hey decide to do another run of them they are gonna change some things to make people more happy with it.. a reversible horn is a possibility among a few other tweaks

Well, as I care for HL PRO myself, I have submitted to Jammy some of the negative feedback, specially from FB fellas. Maybe some buyers are not lucky with their sets, which means the whole patch isn't all bad/good. Yet, I still await to decide if I am gonna call it Best, Good or OK action figure. This reminds me of the SRC Grendizer, some buyers call it Best while I see it as but at the end of the day, come 'n, guys, there is basically a standard look for each character (which is usually its best lookin' and most used in anime and illustrations; eg. the artwork of MT04).

yeah mine didn't have a problem, whenever something new comes out there are always going to be a few teething problems at first.. but don't worry, if any figures have any mechanical problems or paint glitches, Im sure they will exchange them.

That's what I've been saying for a while...Gin Gin and SRC grendy are in the same boat. Nice figures, but their head sculpt is totally off. I got both and I'm learning to like the overall figures, but people would be BLIND (or of course have to keep spitting non-sense for obvious reasons) if they try to defend their head sculpt.

Yup, that's I agree on. HL PRO has a good reputation regarding after-sale CS and being honest with their customers.

Listen we want to support hlpro because they are giving us those obscure characters in toy form ! But honestly 100 is way too much for a toy that is not combiner or that have any impressive size or engineering! I got my tetsujin 28 both versions the classic and the 80 one for 50 $ each and these are top notch quality where I don't think mt is any where close! But we still buy them! And no , the horn dose not go both ways! It was drawn mistakenly curved forward in three shots and that is it! Nevertheless we love this new entry and we welcome the new improved engineering of the toy

imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/oqsj.jpg/half the time it was forward though.. big Difference in SOC and SRC though.. they are made in much larger numbers than figures like Gin Gin.. and Bandai will be in business for 100 more years. All those SOCs are in good hands and will be passed down through generations, they will always be here in large numbers bc no one is throwing them away. When I look at it that way, I don't think things like SOCs and SRCs will ever be truly "rare". they will just be "excellent" and in large numbers.. they are almost mass-produced. Hlpro on the other hand is made in small numbers and it the owner dies or goes out of business, that whole company dies with him.... THEN they will be truly rare!

Dude , I showed you in the pictures I have uploaded taken from shots in the episode that more than 85 percent of his time in the episode was drawn curved pointing to the back! Whatch the episode and take a look at the model sheet!

Those actually one of those three shots where it was drawn mistakenly pointing forward ! Thanks for pointing them out! Rest of the time it was drawn pointing the other way

He said they also had model sheets from Dynamic that went forward.. both are acceptable hes saying.. and that it looked better forward. That's what hes saying.. but hes also saying that he could offer another option in the future..
anyway, it didn't seem to matter to most guys. the US stock is almost sold out, they are considering shifting some over here from the Europe stocks..

seems some of those guys that bought the SRC Grendy are now buying BOTH Giru and Gin to use as a supporting cast for their SRC Grendy's.. they may have to make another run to satisfy a bit more of the market... we shall see. If they do, he said they are going to tweak him a bit in a few areas... head could be one of them.

So if they end up releasing a more accurate version, then what happens to the early adapters guys such as myself? cause I was burned with HLPRO once before with their newly MT01 head sculpt that the only way I could have gotten it was to re-buy Grendy and his spazer. So I hope they don't pull the same move this time.

Knock it off! The horn goes both ways in the episode, either is correct. If you don't like it, don't BUY IT! I got the figure and I love it, no problems other than the saw blades will pop off if you try to move the arms by grabbing the outer edge of the shields. Other than that, Its real good. And by the way.. 100 bucks is NOTHING. 100 bucks wont even get you a decent front motorcycle tire. Hell for what you guys are paying for SRC's?..sh*t that wouldn't even get you a set of stock replacement foot pegs for a Honda. My translucent blue intake cover for my Buell was $260 delivered and its just a plastic body part with some screw holes , 2 factory decals and a rubberized bumper on the top. If 100 bucks is expensive for you , don't EVER consider Motorcycling as a hobby! Especially Honda, Ducati, Buell or Harley Davidson. Don't worry. I won't. Not those kind of bikes anyways. I prefer more violent full-contact hobbies. Some even involve very expensive suits of armour. *-) Still, my soft hobby is comics and robots with the occasional Hot Toy and I will keep it that way.

I have no Idea.. personally, I don't think they should change it. I think he should just move on to the next one. Its basically a "field test" for the new figures that are coming anyway... and the fewer he makes of Gin Gin, the better.
In my opinion, its already a successful figure, make only a few of them and it WILL be a collectors item one day , just leave it. They learned what they needed to learn, made a "to do" list now they can apply what they learned and expand it to the next level on the next figure.. I say that's the best plan of action for them.
They pretty much just wanted to know how that articulation system would come out under production conditions. I think its very clever, they got pretty good articulation out of very little, and it looks great, you cant really see the joints like you can on other figures.. next they want a bigger range of motion and they want to know that it survives use. They said from their tests you have to TRY to break those joints for the most part. They just want to make sure before they use it on more important characters.

I suggest some people who are not satisfied with the inaccurate version of gin gin wait for the revised version.
I don't mind the soft rubber horns (facing wrong way). Or the razor blade falling off debacle. Or the other issues.
Anybody else got theirs yet? Want to hear your unbiased take on the figure. So thrilled mine is coming today.

ha ha On jin Jin I actually paid normal price because I didn't save up enough money in my robot budget to place a bigger order and get a good discount because Im building that Buell I just picked up .. that last time when I got like 4 figures, yeah I got a good discount but that's with anybody who contacts PBM and asks about a discount.
I am also not kissing ass either, right in my video I point out the 2 things that get on my nerves about that figure but still, I don't regret that figure and it actually turned out better than I expected in a lot of ways.

Just got mine. I have to say that it is a very cool figure! The center horn actually looks pretty good facing forward, hell... I think that it would look odd if it was facing back (like in the anime) - at least on this particular head sculpt. The eyes don't look bad at all IMO. I love the non-metallic paint! That's how I envision my figures. The elbows look a lot better than I expected, and way better than a stock MT01. The range of motion of the hip joints is really good forward, but disappointing backwards. And the best part is how the articulation was hidden! Props to HLPro on that! I never liked how the hip joints on the MT01, SRCs and SOCs looked. They remind me of Power Ranger Megazord actor suits. Overall, the Gin Gin rocks! }D
