I kinda think mini-fos will be coming.. I bet diecast this time.. I wasn't told that, I just suspect it. I wouldn't doubt if one of the next MTs will come with a free alternate head for Gin Gin either, I wasn't told that, I just suspect it. That new 10" Gattiger is fantastic, I got to get both those 10 inchers now.. I got a lot of stuff on my shopping list over the next month. Its wearing me out. I plan to make one big order so I can save some money, I thin both jumbos, the 12" Mazinger Z action figure and that 10in Grendy.. that is the last of those Jumbos.. that's it, no more.. I got to get them before they are retired.
But yeah, I agree with you on all counts except two. the head (subject to taste I think) and the price (I don't think its that bad considering the numbers produced) and its basically the same prize as the Spazer. But yeah, third set of hands and maybe some kind of weapon effect would have been real nice to have. I agree with you on that one.
I don't know about you but I got a feeling that Zmazinger, Gattiger, and GrendyV2 are going to be real nice. I got really high hopes for Zmazinger.. from the little I was allowed to see on Zmaz.. dude he is going to FANTASTIC.. now that I see the articulation system they are planning to expand on, yeah.. I cant really see that going wrong there..

Since we are SO~ particular about our ideal look for our super robot,especially the face, color and proportions....
Maybe if we have any suggestions as to what can make coming Metaltech even better we can voice it now?
I figure it be better to suggest things before it's said and done.
For instance, if you have an ideal proportion picture reference and head sculpt for Getaiger and Z Mazinger, post it?
Obviously HLPro's listening, either directly or through GS Tom.
What do you think?

Has anyone dealt with HLPro for QC issues? What's the best way? I forgot I had ordered GinGin through my LCS and it came this week. Opened it up and found some really bad paint problems.  Im I usually pretty easy going with minor QC problems, but big white splotches on the face is bogus. The little ones on the shoulder and torso annoy me too, since they aren't the only problems. If they were, I wouldn't care, but I can't live with the face. Hoping HLPro will replace it. |

I'm out of money this month....completely depleted.
Maybe next month. I REALLY do want to support HLPro's chosen war path.
And general consensus been REALLY positive so far.
Congrats HLPro on an awesome release.

gingin looks good. i'm really intrigued about the next two releases.
i was going to order gingin, but that would mean i need a grendizer AND spazer. gets $ quick. i guess he would look ok next to gx-04
what was the list price for the manga metaltech grendizer when he was first released?

That GinGin looks beautiful! And I must say this is the first time in perhaps a year or longer, since the release of the DX Maz, that I've ever seen such an enthusiastic reception for a new product in this hobby here at RJ... and that's because HLPro took their time and patience to do things Right the first time and produce a fine quality result (without much or any sneak-peak online hype nor teasers)... I like that approach: Keep Quiet, Get On with the project, produce a superb quality finished product, and Theeeeen publicize it! zozo-mag |

Thanks man...Overall is nice, but I was already aware of the stuff that I didn't like. Pros: + Articulations are way better than pervious MT + Hidden joints + Nice color app + Good amount of Diecast Cons: - Inaccurate head sculpt (eyes specifically, and side horns) - Flimsy blades - Pricier than the competition especially with the lack of accessories The TFO bonus is nice, but it would be better if they added the Vegan mini-fos...people who watched the ending of Gin Gin will understand I was hoping for the spinning saucers of spazer, but adding a couple of minifos, as you say, would have been so cool! For the cons, I 100% agree with you. Regarding the head, it seems that the sculptor did the side horns and eyes after the way he likes them to be, not after their best look from the anime! |
