yeah I think they are on the right track (could be that your advice influenced him, could be that he was going to go that direction anyway but did not want to show his hand in public either way I do not know)
.. Im REALLY looking forward to that Gattiger now, I must admit at first I was not that interested but the more I found out about Gattiger the more I wanted one.. and looking at that EnergerZ based custom, just sealed the deal with me.. I gotta have one of those.
The "Oddball" characters are a good strategy for right now but the classics are going to have to eventually get done too I think. I would love to see a Toei-style Mazinger Z from HLpro, and a Getter G (all three of them)... man that would be awesome.

I said once, and I say it again. HL Pro should make Govarian and God Mazinger.

Very good review, accurate. For me, the best part about Gin Gin is moving him without his shields installed, its a clean looking figure with slick articulation done in a innovative way. The Gattiger prototype is said to be even better, I cant wait for MT05 Gattiger and the Mt06 Zmazinger... they are going to be the best Metaltechs yet.

Thanks guys. I agree with Gettershadow, the figure does look very clean without the shields. I see some retooling potential there, I wish HL Pro rolls out more villains. Gold

Yeah, I saw that earlier today and I asked them wether it's bigger than Gin Gin or if it's just the perception of the pic. They didn't answer yet, but I hope it's the same scale otherwise what would be the point of having them in the same MT line if each figure keeps getting bigger and would not be in scale with the previous ones....I think Gin Gin is very good size to standardize the series.

same scale as Gin Gin.. so about the same size or maybe a tad taller. See MT01V1 Grendizer is being phased out for the coming V2 Grendizer. The new ones are going to be in a slightly larger scale like Gin Gin. Companies usually like the Heroes to be slightly taller then the bad guys or at least the same size. So you can expect both Gattiger and the new Grendizer to be at least as tall as Gin Gin. Now if Gattiger is a tad taller than Grenndizer that would be "correct" also because in the Manga that has them both in the same frames, Gattiger is clearly taller and physically stronger than Grendizer. Overall I would say the characters are equal in effectiveness but Gattiger had no missile or energy weapons, he used brute force like wrestler, all of his missile and energy weapons were on the "Flying Tiger" saucer... and the Parallel Universe Duke Fleed was more like the "Mad Max" character.. in his universe he was a loner, living on the edge of survival, trying to avenge the destruction of his planet by the Yabans, I think they were called. Hes quite a cool character.

Gattiger is ok looking, but what makes him "attractive" is his saucer. My decision to buy Gattiger will depend on the price. I know it comes with a saucer, but I'll not be willing to pay more than $150 for it. We'll wait and see.
