I've got Arkham City in my PS3, but I still find myself playing Monster Hunter Tri instead. My loot addiction is strong... I don't blame you that game is indeed addictive. I haven't tried Tri as I don't have a wii but I'm still playing Monster Hunter Unite PSP. I find myself going back to my old profile improving armors weapons etc. killing the Rathalos is so gratifying ;D Right now (Casually) its X Blades, Devil May Cry 4, Castlevania & Golden Ax for Xbox

I find myself wanting to get every armor set, even ones that aren't anywhere near as good as the one I'm already wearing. Stupid Rathian Plate ... can't seem to get one for love nor money. It doesn't matter that it's not even a very good armor set, or even that it's something I'd never use. I just want it. Grrrrrr. I AM pretty stoked that I've got my char decked out in a full set of Lagiacrus armor, which is the same armor set that the Sen-ti-nel Monster Hunter toy is coming out in .

Right now I'm particularly fond of the Obituary X Armor, I totally dig its "guyver-ish" look. I'm surprised you're having a hard time getting that plate its not hard to obtain those in the PSP verison I'm playing....what's a pain are those stupid Rathian/ Rathalos rubies. you'd have to kill close to 10 before you get 1. Just googled the Sen-ti-nel toy you mentioned its "ok" but I'm more into the monster figures I wish they'd make one of decent size rather than all these gashapon stuff. What did catch my attention was the fact that MH is coming to 3DS I'm carefully optimistic and excited about this ! ! !....afterall I'm still waiting for Capcoom to release MH3 (English) for PSP....likely not going to happen. Capcom issuing a North American (English) version of this game for 3DS will DEFINITELY make me pull the trigger on buying a 3DS Gameboy...heck I'd even go all out and get the special edition package with the Sentinel Figure if the game was in english.

Although I haven't seriously played a fighting game in aaaaaaaages I picked up Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 yesterday. It's pretty nuts and I probably lose about 95% of the fights I play online >.<.
Somehow still fun though. It's got a lot of personality.

Haven't had too much time to play games this week due to studying and work, but I did have some sweet pick-ups this week. Got Ultimate MVC3 PS3 version. Hyper Dimension Neptunia (Gamestop for 30 bucks, couldn't pass it up). I still have yet to play either. For my 360 I've had Otomedius Excellent in the disc tray since it's release 2 weeks ago. It's good for about a 45 - 60 min play through to save your sanity (or destroying it because you die). It's a Gradius homage with lady pilots. Actually, it's more than a homage, as it plays just like Gradius. Character designs by Mine Yoshizaki (Keroro). Kokoro Belmont is the first DLC character. Also has the Busou Shinki girls, Arnval and Strarf (possible DLC). Finally finished WH40k Space Marine on Saturday. I had to do it if I went out this week and bought 2 new games! It was decent. There are some game-breaking mechanics though. It seems to suffer from a bit of schizophrenia with regards to its shooting game function vs its hack/slash function. Plus no cover component means getting your butt shot off and dying.....A LOT. Either way, I was surprised how short the campaign was and how little time it took once I sat down and dedicated a few hours to knocking it out. Good game though. Recommended. Looking forward to getting into some UMVC3 and Neptunia as time permits.

It draaaaaaaaaaaaaags soooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuch. As a game I wanted to like it a lot more than I do. The sequel is supposed to totally change the combat, which is good, because it's easily the worst aspect of the game. As for me, I'm still trying to bash my way through the brick wall that is Dark Souls, occasionally throwing in UMVC3 when I feel like I haven't been beaten and frustrated enough, and then when I've REALLY had enough, I've been putting in Saints Row the third to unwind. It's a lot of highs-and-lows on the blood pressure scale.

Got the latest releasd Mortal Kombat for xbox over the weekend.......classic old school fun, as an old guy who use to play this game in the arcades in the early to mid 90's during my late teen years along with street Fighter I can confidently say that this game brings it all together both new and old characters, I love the story mode and the fact that you don't need to be a serious gamer to progress through it.

MW3 working on getting my second prestige. Waiting for Ultimate MvC3 to arrive from bestbuys. They have a buy 2 get 1 free deal right now so I got 3 copies of Ultimate MvC3 game for 87$ with tax included and free shipping. Two of those copies will be Christmas gifts for a buddy and my brother in law. Had I been buying only for myself, I would have picked up gears of war 3, ultimate MvC3, and the Remastered Halo, and it would only cost me 87$.

So I saw this game on xbox live on sale for 600 points called Hard Corps: Uprising. Is this game considered or part of Contra? I mean come on, it is from Konami, and it used pretty much them same bosses and music. Fun as hell and well worth the priced, especially when it is only $7.50. The game sprite characters deserve some kind of trading or gashapon treatment.

It is. It's a prequel to Contra Hard Corps on the Genesis (Mega Drive). Konami decided to turn Hard Corps into its own spin-off series.

It was developed by Arc System Works, the same folks who made Blazblue and Guilty Gear. Music is also by Daisuki Iwash*tari. The games actually pretty challenging, but after playing for several hrs you do, in fact, get 573 continues (Ko, Na, Mi).

The last Contra that I played was on the NDS, I think it was Contra 4, and that one was hard enough. I remember beating the game only to have it say, you must complete the game on normal mode to see the ending. I did unlock the classic game by completing easy mode. I spend a good hour on hard corps and only completed level 1. Love the double jump and air dash.

I finally beat Dark Souls (with no small level of property damage - something I wish I could say was hyperbole but is depressingly a reality. Anyone want a armless, headless CM's Sankan-Oh for parts? It took a long dive off a shelf ) and am quite content to wash my hands of that game for a while. I've been trying to get into Saints Row the third, but it seems like every time I pick it up I quickly get frustrated with some small issue and end up turning on Monster Hunter Tri. Hah.

This week I'm playing Fate/Extra on PSP. I got a deal on PSN cards a while ago so I was looking for something to burn the money on.. and since I'm visiting my folks over the holidays I decided to get some use out of my PSP which I almost never use.
It's been argued that Fate/Extra resembles Persona a bit too much, but I don't know about that. I just like the fact that I get to revisit some familiar faces from Fate/Stay Night in a new and different context. Also the RPG stuff is broken up into bite-size chunks so it's very well-suited to a portable device.
