On the one hand, the set feels really solid and well made. On the other hand, it LOOKS cheap. Let me explain; the plastic is really solid and sturdy, but has a lot of mold flash like it wasn't cleaned properly when it came out of the dies. The wheels are rubber, but the rubber is really soft and it attracts dust and crud like a magnet. The metal is minimal and only used in places for support, but looks like tarnished pot metal, the kind wargaming miniatures are made out of. It's a little schozophrenic; Everything feels and locks together great, but looking at the materials and figure on its own and up close, It doesn't look like it should. I'm not a big fan of the cloth, either, but it does its job. I'm still thinking of ripping it out and either replacing it or leaving it off, depending on what the figure looks like underneath it. No parts falling off or major QC issues that I can see, other than some parts being tigther and looser than others. Some transformation pics!           |

Then Rook or Lancer? Any chance of an Annie with an ET cap figure to ride on the back? (I know I use the Robotech names, I have never actually seen the original Mospeada)

They'll definitely be making a Rook/Hoquet next. Beagle has already shown the prototype off at trade shows. The figures are expensive but oh-so-tempting. Le sigh...

I know, right? Having started watching Mospeada it's not getting any easier, either. Fortunately, so far I'm not liking the Beagle headsculpts too much so the cheaper Toynami versions are at least an easier sell for me.

You know for some reason I really like those gray prototypes, just looks all technical and stuff. I wonder if there will be any variants, perhaps a Shadow versions or even a clear version.
