Lovin' it Ed!
The Eagle Sharp is one of the great "under-appreciated" Gatchaman toys, if such thing is possible. Plenty of diecast, great assortment of spring-loaded gimmicks and arguably the best looking of the bird themed Gatchaman II vehicles (though my personal favorite Gatchaman II gokin is still Paimer/Primer). I still remember a childhood friend with the Bandai America version (sans firing missiles) in the early 80's and wasn't fooled - "Hey! That's must be from some version of "Battle of the Planets" that never made it to American TV!"

It was good to see you again and enjoy some gokin in CA.

Eagle Sharp is still missing. But I have a few other vintage Gatchaman toys from europe like this Popy's, Bendys, Action Figures etc What do you think of making a "Gatchaman Special" thread guys? Lets see what we all have, could be very interesting.

Sounds good. I love the Gatchaman toys. I recently acquired the Eagle Sharp and a Godphenix, so I'll have to take a new photo. I still need all three of those in your pic, chogoman, but for some reason the Gatcha Spaltan never really appealed to me. Perhaps its because I never saw Gatchaman II, as I'm sure is the case with all non-Japanese folks. I can't even find any clips of it.

The Gatchaspartan was actually from the third series (Gatchaman Fighter). By then the ideas were on fumes (at least the bird themed vehicles in II were a bit creative if downright gaudy) which led to this rather simplistic (and derivative) design of the vehicle.
I'd still love to get my hands on the DX though...!

Nice collection guys. It must have cost a bomb for your Gatchaman Spartan , Tommy_aku. I like the Gatchaman series very much , especially Gatchaman F. Besides the Gatchaman vehicles , I also like the giant mecha robots created by Galactor. They have very unique design.

Yes. Gatchaman was re-worked in the US (1986) as G-Force: Guardians of Space.

Beautiful toys venson (and everyone). No Firey Phoenix? Sorry to be presumptuous, but I figure if anyone has one of those it would be you.
