I kind of want the DX version.... but not badly
Too me it just seems like a nice dramatic work of art to have on display in your room to rep Gundam 00... i'm wondering if I wait a few months maybe I could score it for cheap? Or would this be one of those items that will be hard to find and increase in value a year after it's release..

It's 1/144 scale, and so far the Super HCM Pro's have been a very, very cool line. I just got a standard issue Zaku 2 last week to go with my Exia, and it's great. The possability is awesome, the details are really well done. It's made with the same materials as the Robot Damashii's, it's like what a Gundam Fix SHOULD be IMHO. As far as price goes, the RX-78 has held its value for a long while, and the green Zaku 2 is still like $70 a year after release, but the Char Zaku is pretty easy to find on sale at $50-ish... so it just depends on how popular this release will be.

Yeah i have (or rather had since i sold a few of them) HCM pros. They are nice little figures full of articulation, great detail, made of harder plastic, and they come with nice little decals, however, they are small and still priced more then MSIA and Robot damashii. The other problem is that they are a fragile, thats why I say that Damashii are the best of both worlds. I do wish they had the little gimicks like HCMPros did though with the decals. But I will be getting this DX Exia thats for sure

Wow. That sounds awesome...does SHCM Pro have tight joints that won't wear down? that's my biggest problem with HCM Pro, really.

Well, so far it seems that way but I've only had my Zaku for about 3 weeks so I can't speak from experience on that. But right out of the box he's been able to hold any pose I've given him for several days. For the Exia release, it seems that it comes with a base that is supposed to simulate zero G poses, so I'm sure he'll have good joints.
Btw, Gaofar from the Gundam Board in Action?

Just got mine this morning--- And it's a great figure!! Awesome posability and great look and finish. I still prefer the decal markings from the Fix version better, but the special markings on this still give the Exia a nice look. The Exia Repair parts swapping is pretty easy to figure out and apply, though in the end I just ended up swapping the head and the cape. I honestly still like he shade of blue and red on the regular release better (from the catalog photos at least), but that's just a minor gripe. I'm just glad to have a figure of the Exia R to go with my Zaku F2, and I look forward to the next SHCM release with great anticipation!!

Yeah SHCM pros really offer the best that bandai has to offer. I am very pleased witht he articulation on this guy especially the arms. Just about everything that should move does and double joints in knees and arms. I just wish they increased the range of motion in the torso area as it barely moves though the manual showcases the movement its more like a jiggle then any kind of real movement. Anckles could of sued some more horizontal movement as well, but overall very good. Lots of nice gimmiks like the pop out GN blade holders on the hips and the extra joints in the arms are soemthing I never seen before that really gives exia a lot more reach with his arms then any figure I can think of. He is detailed very nicely though you may want to add panel lining.
I got the regular version for I could care less for the repair parts and the difference in color and few extra decals didnt warrant the extra &20 or so for the DX version. One other thing is that hes very plasticy and i wish he had some more decals like other HCMs come with.
Really this is how all of bandais gundams should be, looks like HCM took ques from banpresto's SCM figures which this surpasses but they cost a heck of a lot less. I only wish all heads of bandai came together and made a trully beautiful figure that incorporated the best of all worlds!! That would be the ultmate bandai. Id rather have one line of supreme figures then ten different ones that jump all over the place in terms of qaulity and articulation. Of course bandai makes more money this way........

Yeah, it's a shame that the SHCM Pro are WHAT Fixes SHOULD be, considering the GFF line is alot older... Also, it's kind of frustrating since I really did want to draw a border for my collecting at the Tamashii Nation toy lines, but the SHCM's are just TOO nice to pass up.... Just got to pick up the RX-78 and Char Zaku and I've got the set so far.
Also, though I am excited for more SHCM, I don't mind the slow releases as it gives my wallet time to refill unlike the swarms Robot Damashii and SOC are dishing out right now.

I ordered the SHCM Pro Zaku II MS-06J (green) from HLJ @ 60% off. Nice sale even though the exchange rate is lousy for USD to yen. Can't wait until it arrives. The SHCM Pro Exia is backordered. I'm interested in the Unicorn, but the price is currently way too steep. Is the Unicorn a much bigger figure?

There's shcm exia, then the shcm unicorn, and there is still the MG Unicorn, then the HG Unicorn. About branching off the Gundams into different lines...., it's Bandai's intention, really.

lol welcome to the world of bandai's gundam. They are several different lines all revolving around one franchise. Ill list the lines though some have been discontinued. Models SD or BB line Basic grade No Grade High grade (1/144 or 1/100) Master Grade Perfect Grade EX ? (Various gundam vechicles) Action Figures Metal Grade (discontinued) MSIA (discontinued) MSIA DX (discontinued) Advanced MSIA (discontinued) MSIA extended (discontinued) Arch Enemy Metal composite HCM pro (discontinued) Super HCM pro Robot Damashii/Soul Gundam Fix Figuration (now GFF Next) Metal Composite Gundam Fix figuration Then secondary company Banpresto Various gashopon and trading figures Super Complete Model (SCM) SCM Re SCM EX Then i think there are a few special lines with limited runs (some i have already mentioned). Yes that is correct...... they really only support Robot damashii and GFFN, but RD will have steady releases. I think SHCMpro will continue, may even replace extended MSIA. However I have noticed that they may still release special version of gundams in the old lines like the new Extended MSIA of RX-78 2 which is suppose to replicate the 1/1 Statue recently made. But that item is a webshop only item anyway so I still count it as discontinued line.
