Here's my entry: Tiger Lily  I was thinking of doing a Steam-Punk Optimus Prime, but figured a custom character would be a good change for this particular fun-draw. Got the idea from reading some 18th Century Industrial Revolution info over the web. Obviously she's Japanese inspired (Samurai and all), but some of the designs (like the pistol, and the swirly-wavy-thingamabobs on her armor), I borrowed from Victorian designs. Was going to go more elaborate with more gears, chains, hydraulics, etc, but time wasn't on my side.  Also, I was supposed to color this thing, but due to the new work schedule that I have, didn't give me a chance to do the colors on it. if you can take a closer look at the bigger pic (thumbnail), you'll see that I didn't even have a chance to clean it up, so... here it is, in all it's monochrome glory. Hope you like it!  |

Sweet! Using Steam-pipes for the banner-pole was brilliant. It's a really coherent design too, it really feels like a character.
I just got back from picking up a tube of paint and some charcoal. I really gotta finish mine...down to the wire as always, ha!

oh thats beautiful! sweet just saw your blog.. hahahah I have that exact set of compas to draw circles (oh but I guess a lot of people have those  ). sometimes I miss using a drawing table. |
