i don't know to many Ninja's that are red and white though, must be from Canada lol. Only the BEST NINJA EVER, Joe Musashi, was red and white! He even fought Godzilla! And Batman!

Can't say "ninja" was the first thing that came to mind when Rosanna first came out. At least this figure is red instead of pink anyway.
I like the idea behind the "Ratbat" figure, I bet it looks really good with the Hasbro version of Classics Megatron.

I'm not familiar with "Rosanna" - but Ninja kind of looks like a cool character to face off against PE-01. At first glance I thought it was just a retooled version with minor sculpting changes, but the transformation does look different. The new Kingbat looks cool too. Jet mode looks more like one of those mini-con weapons than a "jet" though. Place your bets... how long before Perfect effect repaints these for "black version?"

Storm Shadow is another red and white ninja, though much more white than red!
The Protector set looks great in base colours. I really like how it looks in trailer mode, even more than the CC trailer.

Whew, this is just the base mold, color of the plastic. I was thinking, where is the paint detailing. The finished product will look amazing. Well a couple more months to go, hopefully no delays like xfire 2 set.

That is a bit red looking. I am hoping the pics just look weird on my monitor cause I am hoping for the maroon to match seamlessly.

On my screen, the color matches, but this is just the molded plastic prototype without paints applied. I thought it looked weird too. Hopefully, they use production company that have extremely good QC on paint, because based on these pictures, the arms need some silver, the feet need some red?

Here is a quick photoshoped picture to match the colors and paint aps... For sure more details will come to this Protector. Sorry, I was lazy for chrome and gold. I don't know if it will have stripes on wings (refeer to shadow scythe Colors...) and if the hotrod deco will be gold or yellow.

Fist are black I think, like the original hot rod. The wings are supposed to be the same color as the thighs, orange, if they were planning on makingthis for the original Classics version. Gold wing attacments comes with the purchase of Sidearm TFX-05, for the Henkei version. I know that in the picture, they are yellow, perhap they are creating the set to be used with the 3 pack version, which has the yellow spoiler. But in all the test shot, they are using the Henkei version.
BTW, awesome use of photoshop to add addiontal paint scheme.

Thanks. I just edited the fist. The colors on FP pictures don't match with the Henkei original colors. It's not a question of plastic injection : the Henkei figure is too much orange colored. Their pictures are not well calibrated...

Ouch... looks like the clear version will not be a good color match with the protector armor. Robot mode may be OK, but it will probably look really weird in winnebago mode.
Thanx for all your efforts Lejam, including for posting the large comparison pictures of varios Hot Rod variants!

Video review of Head Robots Hardhead upgrade kit. I really like this set, might be worth getting.

I watched the video and I like it. Problem, I didn't buy or knew about the Universe Hardhead. So as much as I would like to get this, I am just not willing to pay extra for the Hardhead figure. Like the reviewer said headmaster wasn't really all that memorable and was showcase at the end of The Transformers G1 series before the Japanese took over the cartoon, with their Star Convoy and Dai Atlus, God Ginrai Prime and such. Still, had I purchase the Hardhead or if it wasn't that costly on the secondary market, I will definately get it.

That's hilarious! An after-market company made an upgrade for another after-market company's upgrade. ^______^

Well, the iGear "cassette-bot" figures are pretty much add-ons for FansProject's Commander armour as well... less obvious, but it became real obvious after they released the "Shadow-Pack" so you could mount them Target-Masters-style onto the trailer mode.
