Then they won't fit in your one display case So you would have had to "donate them" to members Hey hey, now - I have TWO display cases! But yeah, they wouldn't fit in either of them ;D Another one for the bug nuts

^^ Ooogitty!!
That looks like a version of those "wind up and random POP" games.
The old Gogzilla game had ships that went Roundy-round like that.

Bill, that is truly a thing of beauty! I cannot imagine what the ending price on that would have been. Any clues?

This makes me curious how many Popy toys there are that didn't fall into the standard Popy numbering system. Are there many?

Agreed, it is a great looking base I'd love to get someday. Had I not been going on vacation (and already blown through a few hundred on the TT Grasshopper), I'd have brought this home. There was also one at Mandarake auction about a month ago. They've gone in the 40k range. xiombarg - Popy (and just about every other Company) made a ton of toys back then. Far as I know, the numbering system mainly applied to chogokin/popinica's, but there are lots more out there that are not in the diecast catagory.

Absolutely Ed! One day....(maybe) I had been waiting for years for one of these Starzinger play sets to show up. I had known where to buy one, but always hoped to score it cheaper at auction. I have yet to see one come up, so fianally caved in and paid the damn asking price. It's actually neater than I expected. The belt buckle shoots off, the staff expands to almost 3 feet and it has missiles you load in the one end of the stick for shooting action. Comes with a set of villain cards and stands for target practice.

Hey Bill,
That's awesome! Is it generic? Or is it for a specific hero (Jan Kugo, Sir Djorgo or Don Hakka) or a combination of the three?
Did you see this as a child or in the last few years?

While I watched the show as a child (Force Five Spaceketeers), I had no clue there were toys like these out there.
I spotted a pic of the playset 5 or 6 years ago when I first started collecting. Cant remember if it was in someones collection or an auction, but have hunted for one ever since. I found this sitting at an online store two or three years ago. It kept tempting me, but I held out until a couple of months ago.
This set is specifically for Jan Coogo, though I'm not sure if they made one for the other characters. Would be very cool if they did, but I've never seen them.
