Hey Erik, which book is Masato's Go Nagai? I also saw that in person, but not the cover. I would believe it is the first one listed in the toybox publications pics, but cant get a large shot of it for some reason.
Thx

No worries, Erik. I do not yet have Yuji's book, so was speaking from my experience. Been looking for that for a while but not finding a reasonable price, so I am holding for now.

Bill, Here you go: www.toyboxdx.com/infolibrary/pubs/premire/I call this Masato's book as he put out the Sofubi associated with it on the cover (Shono Planning). I was working with him then and he offered them to me for next to nothing and I passed. Sucks, as I was only collecting Popy chogokin then and not sofubi. Masato would find me chogokin, so assumed I was into the vinyls as well. If I could do it all over...Funny, I'm still collecting Popy chogokin and still do not have ALL GA-GC (almost all..). This book is f**king sick. It's got all of GoNogai's toys. It even has the elusive Govarian Magnemo which I wrote about here: toyboxdx.com/brog/?p=632Dylan, I'll keep a look out for you. Funny. Yuji actually thinks chogokin sucks. Mike Johnson was telling me when heading over to his house one day we were in Japan. It's like if you don't collect Ultra Kaiju, than it sucks. Keep in mind, Yuji's got the actual costumes and props adorning his house, that's how hardcore the dude is. His company M1 is all about that sh*t. I'm telling you.. Ha! That's more your bag than mine. Eitherway, funny that he wrote the bible on Popy Chogokin, unauthorized might I add. That's why it has never been reprinted. In the back of that book is a YOUNG picture of Saito-san in a suit in front of his cases of Jumbos and kaiju. He and I joke about that picture as it says "king of collector". He called me the "prince"... Ha ha ha ha!!

Awesome, thanks Erik. Yeah, I saw the Govarian Magne in there and immediately thought of you (also had some shots of my Pla Bases in boxes - another reason for me to seek it out )

Neither. None of these will help you as you only are interested in Voltes V right? LOL, I think your thinking of Garu525 Erik. Aww that's sweet... Erik is thinking of me LOL! I stop looking for price guides since you guys were right it fluctuates so the best way is just monitor completed auction sales. I just start collecting the books for the pictures. Obviously I can't collect all of them so I just stare at the pictures from the books.

LOL, I think your thinking of Garu525 Erik. it doesn't matter since i'm a voltes fans also.. but garu's collections is far far away more complete compare with mine. Thanks Nyonk, but I wish I can collect all the robots I grew up with like some people here on RJ. I'm planning to collect at least one of each robots I watched when I was a kid.

Well I only watched a few. I'm planning to collect one of each soon... (after I buy my bigger display cab)
- Maskman - Bioman - Transformers G1 (or maybe Masterpieces) - Daimos (I don't have the Godaikin yet, only Popy) - Mazinger Series - Gundams (I think Gundam Wing is the one I watched) - Combattra - Old Power Rangers - Dairugger - Voltron (I have the Popy already but I want the Golion Godaikin)
That's it. It's not that expensive unlike most guys here collect. So maybe I can complete those within a year. =)
