Oh and is there both a regular and weathered version?

No weathered version. The big chunky weathered one in the above shots is, I think, a customized set of the old 1/60 GBP armor which was a lot chunkier. I'm glad I didn't get a VF-1J Hikaru already.

Any news on the armor parts? Will they come weathered? Separate or only bundled with the VF-1J?

I don't think it's out yet but it will be sold separately or with a VF-1J. No word on a weathered version yet.

look very nice. It would be cool if they made an armored articulated hands like the fixed hands they had in the 1/48. I'm not into the cartoon hands.

I wonder if these armors would fit the VF0A. i recall the Macross Zero series are 1:60...but arent they the same size as the 1:48??? arent these NEW 1:60 VF's the same size as the version 1???

I wonder if these armors would fit the VF0A. Not a hope. The 1/60 VF-0's are much larger than the VF-1's. Besides, the armor is tailored specifically to fit the VF-1A/S/J... They probably wont even fit the VF-1D or VE-1 (due to the different chest), let alone a zero, unfortunately.

Apparently, Graham of Macross World just got yamato'ed on the new release of the 1/60 bundled GPB and the VF-1J. Beware, the included Valkyrie seemed to be the ones with the notorious shoulders! The entire discussion can be found here: www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=30603&st=385

Thanks for the link niko. Disappointed with Yamato. I was going to pick this one up as my toy of the month. Guess I'll have to wait till they fix this issue.

Does anybody know if the standalone VF-1J has the shoulder joint problem?
