Guys, I need your valuable input.
I'm seriously thinking of getting an SOC Daimos but I'm torn between the flaws of the toy and the "need" to get a partner for my GX-31. Question is, should I buy it or should I wait out for a renewal (better) version of it?

Daimos is excellent, and I don't really see a renewal version ever being made. It's not in the same category as the old, clunky, unposeable SOCs that need a redesign; it's pretty much as good as you'll ever get. Whatever "flaws" it may have, they're minor at their worst.
Plus, at Angolz's sale price, he really is a steal.

For one, the price at angolz.com is unheard of cheap at $100. you can always resell it if you don't like it.
You can check the reviews on it on youtube. for me, this is the best Daimos to date. I loved the truck form the best.

I'd get it again amidst all its minor "flaws" I still believe that it is far more superior than the old Godaikin DX version.
Although I had originally planned on gettting 2 (because of my nostalgic attachment to this super robot) I ended up getting just 1, the plastic torso really put me off.

I love the GX-43, but I got the impression that Daimos isn't very popular in Japan. You can find one in Akihabara for as low as $60-$70... Couldn't believe it at first but there were several shops that had it for sale at similar prices. Sorta doubt Bandai will do a renewal version if sales haven't been that great. Just get it now.

I don't know why it doesn't get more love. It's a phenomenal piece. Very heavy, neat transformation, decently poseable, and a TON of accessories. It's totally worth getting.

Nah, transformation is definitely a put off, but not as bad as the joint system between the hip and the thigh... YUK!!!
...I still got two of them - one for Daimos mode and one for Tranzer mode.

This is a MUST have for any Gen X born in the Phil ! ! ! ...He's almost right up there with V5
Yeah the transformation looks to be a pain, I actually haven't transformed mine since I got it (I keep my worn out godaikin in Tranzer mode)

It is a buy-- worth the money-- especially if you get it for a low low price! $60-70 is very very cheap-- if you get it at that price-- I have seen it for sale in GreeHills for 4000 pesos I think-- or maybe 4500 pesos-- about $80-90-- not a bad price--considering the clever engineering that went into the toy..
The transformation is not anime correct because the anime's transformation is really impossible to accomplish...in real life..

Thanks for all the posts you guys, I really appreciate all the inputs. The pro-con debate in my head about getting Daimos has been going on ever since it came out. Hence, the posting of this topic. If it's at that price, P4-P4.5K, then I might as well snap it up
