Been in the forum for quite a while, but never contribute anything. I feel so shy to introduce myself due the little collection I have. ![:(](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/sad.png)

Guys, I need your valuable input. I'm seriously thinking of getting an SOC Daimos but I'm torn between the flaws of the toy and the "need" to get a partner for my GX-31. Question is, should I buy it or should I wait out for a renewal (better) version of it? "grabs you and put you back together" ok, now that I fix you up..... I COMMAND YOU TO BUY IT!! its so nice in person that figure ;D ;D

Mines still in perfect condition. Just a few nicks from transforming it but nothing major and it really doesn't bother me at all.

I have it and I love it. I like it how the redesigned SOCs are smaller than the earlier versions.

If I weren’t a fan of Daimos and I did not care about having a sequentially complete SOC collection then I may have passed on it.
In my childhood, there were 3 robots that topped my list Voltes V, Mazinger, and Daimos.
Like V5, initially, I had been planning to purchase 2 of these, however, when I purchased 1 and actually held it I decided to put a curb on the idea of getting a 2nd one.
The major turn off for me was the amount of plastic used, particularly the plastic chest, it really annoyed the heck out of me. Although I did like the abundance of accessories, I would have gladly settled for less accessories and more die-cast content. The thing had no “heft” and felt more like an overpriced Hasbro/Takara Leader –Class Transformer than an SOC release.
On a positive note, I do really dig its proportions and overall sculpting.
I felt Bandai did a better job with Voltes V than it did with Daimos, so much so that I’m actually thinking of getting a 3rd V5 (the respect version)
I’ve never transformed mine, as I keep my Godaikin version in Tranzer mode, so it has retained all its initial minty-ness ;D
I’d have to say Daimos has the handsomest/ prettiest face of all the Super-robots ever created. Lol. ;D
Well at least Bandai isn’t making us pay extra for its accessories un-like their more recent releases (Big –O)
I also agree that $100 IS a good deal for this, I wish I had waited to purchase this.

You don't think it has any heft? Daimos is actually a pretty heavy SOC thanks to his big diecast stompyboots, I think. He's no Ideon or anything, but I think he's got a fair share.
And yeah, I can't imagine getting it for a much better price than $130 shipped brand new. I certainly paid more than that for mine and don't regret a bit of it.

Well its been awhile since I've held it, that plastic chest really "cheapened" it for me, and it was a HUGE turn off. So perhaps it does have "heft", it was just a big let down for me. It most certainly isn't on par with Voltes V. (IMHO)
