I just placed and order for one of these
I'm going to modify it with some waterslide decals .
It seems to me that its the same construction as previous versions . it looks good .
has anybody here already bought one?
I wanted to know if the color is a brighter white or is it the same white as previous releases?
I dont plan on weathering this . I really want the decals to stand out.

Hold on, its the same thing only you just build it yourself?! I was looking at that but I figured it was just a normal kit, but if its a full blown 1/60 then I want one

The retail price for the completed plain VF 1S Ver.2.0 : 7,900 Yen The retail price for the unassembled VF IS Ver.2.0 Kit : 5,800 Yen
cost of assembly (you save): 2,100 Yen!
Wait... aren't the VF-1S the version with notoriously bad shoulders?

There is something nice a clean about a plain Valk also you get to see what a nice design the VF-1 is without all the color and boosters and whatnot. At the most all I would add would be the little flying kite Macross symbols and let it be.

Got mine from AmiAmi. They have 4 left. www.amiami.com/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=TOY-RBT-1003&template=default/product/e_display.htmlThere is something nice a clean about a plain Valk also you get to see what a nice design the VF-1 is without all the color and boosters and whatnot. At the most all I would add would be the little flying kite Macross symbols and let it be. My sentiments exactly. I also love that the cockpit canopy is clear. For anyone considering buying this, you might be interested to know that it comes with sticker AND waterslide decals.

i got the unpainted one . i checked it and the shoulders were ok What i dont know since i didn't push the pin thru is if its the gnurled pin or a smooth pin and if it will crack in the near future. I hope not.

I'm guessing it's the smooth pin as there is no visible knurling on either end. However I saw on Macross World that some valks use another pin with the knurling further in and not visible unless you push the pin out a bit. I'm not going to push the pin out to find out. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the hinges never crack or break.
