Got my Quakewave today and I do have to say this thing is totally awesome! I got the second run with the added parts. I was really impressed by the weight of it and the build quality is tops. Go buy one right now. yeah im planning to pre order tomorrow. so whats the difference between the 1st and 2nd run? whats more better to get?

If you can get one get the second or third run. The toys are the same just the second run comes with optional solid colored hand and gun tip if you don't like the clear pink plastic. Some places will also give you the batteries too.

Yeah I know the sizes are a little off but I like the sculpts, I hope someone does a proper Bruticus though. The FP one is good for what it is but it really needs a ground up fresh design. no need. i just want to have him an added upgrades like chestplate. this Bruticus is already enough for me. too much damage already done in wallet.

Well the second run sold out and there's still people that want it so if there's enough they will probably have a third run. I don't think they expected it to be this popular but they will keep making runs if the demand is high enough, but I'm pretty sure they want to move on and focus on the next figure.

It's no big deal but wasn't Kyoko_Iwase_Mazda_R listed as being a woman the other day? I just find it odd or maybe I was mistaken.

...but I'm pretty sure they want to move on and focus on the next figure. C'mon, bring us a BroadBlast ! After reading last Shogo Hasui interview, we know he really want to bring the full G1 character line-up, but for sure Takara staff has to focus on main characters first. Fans Toys definitly prooved they can produce masterpiece figure, now it's a question of (fast) moves to fill the "empty slots" before Takara does.

Very nice toy! I haven't transformed all the individual robots but from what I have it seems to be a very thoughtful design. What I noticed first was the plastic quality, it's good but different then say a SOC and more in-line with MP Soundwave. It's strong but more flexible then your typical SOC plastic. There both good and strong but I think the more flexible stuff is because tolerances are greater then in say a SOC so it's better to have a plastic that will bend a little and give when parts aren't 100% true. While on a SOC it feels like it uses stiffer plastic but the tolerances and gaps are very small probably because their manufacturing process is more precise. But still Giant has very good quality although all the little push button latches are a little hard to get at.
Style wise I love it, it's much more "realistic" then the TFC toys and I love all the added safety stripes, it adds that one extra step of realism. I feel it fits in better with the MP line while the TFC looks better with Classics.
Size wise I think it looks good with MP's, it's not the same scale as in the comics and some shows but it was very inconsistent especially in the original cartoon. It's larger then any MP and that's what matters to me, besides I never liked when they would make a combiner so big Optimus could fit in the palm of it's hand. It just didn't make sense, combiners are one step above large Transformers like Prime and Grimlock and a step below bases like Omega Supreme.
So I like the size of Giant and Genesis they fit MY idea of Transformer scale, big but not ridiculously huge.

Be carefull with transformations. I noticed on yellow set that plastic is strong but not so flexible... Buldozer shovel pistons are very fragile. Arms transformation for Hook need some attention too. Thanks to the replacement part that Upgrade commander sent me + the one included in the 3rd box (qc fixes). I didn't transform a lot the green version...
